A Sweet Thank You Card from Deloris

I'm so blown away by this BEAUTIFUL thank you card I received from Deloris.  She recently won one of my blogaversary candies.   Using some of the candy she won such as this sweet girl stamp by Dandelion Design, and lehua blossom and sentiment laser cuts from Island Scrapbooking, she created this super-duper cute card.   She even paper-pieced the kimono.  I really love how the colors are so well coordinated.   THANK YOU DELORIS!!!!  You can also check out her awesome creations on her blog here.

And here's a pix of the inside.  Pretty huh?

Wishing you all a safe, healthy, prosperous, and of course crafty New Year.

Finally...My Last Set of Coaster Calendars

Hi Peeps!   How was your Christmas?   Hope it was filled with joy and good times with family and friends.

Whew, I'm finally posting the last of my coaster calendars.   In real life, I think mice are "eeeek, ugh, yucky."  But on stamps, they can be the cutest little creatures.  These images are from the "Make a Wish" set by Penny Black.   I couldn't decide if I liked the calendars with or without the 2015 laser cuts so I made some of each.

The laser cut is from Island Scrapbooking and the cool thing about buying them in white is that you can select whatever color you want to ink them up with to fit your project.

So here are 5 with the laser cuts....

And 10 without.

Thank you for stopping by.  Wishing  you all a safe, healthy, prosperous, and crafty New Year.

Precious Bear Coaster Calendar

I'm finally nearing the end of posting my long series of coaster calendars that I made for friends and family which I sent with my Christmas cards.   After this, just one more to go.  Whew!!!

This one sure made me smile with the cheery DP and happy little bear.   The image is called "Under the Stars Bear" by Kitty Bee which I got at Ben Franklin Crafts.  The images are small so they were really easy and fast to ink up with Copics.  To create a landscape, I used "A2 Curved Borders One" by Spellbinder, also purchased at Ben Franklin Crafts and "Stitched Scalloped Border" die by Lawn Fawn from Island Scrapbooking.

Had so much fun, I made 8.

Wishing you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!   Happy shopping if you hit the stores for some After-Christmas sales.

Coaster Calendars with Ling-Ling, Harumi, and Bluebell

A few months ago, I scored this Bluebell paper pack which had some really, really nice paper.  Not wanting to take away from the design, I made this CAS coaster calendars by just adding "Harumi", and "Ling-Ling".  For the DP with Bluebell, I just added the calendar.

And here are 8 or them...

So here are 3 coaster calendars with different washi paper backgrounds.

Coaster Calendars with Adorable Po

Hi Peeps!  Holy smokes, can't believe Christmas is next week already.  My goodness.

I love, love, love Po by Sister Stamps.  He's the cutest panda, don't ya think?  I added the "Bamboo Shoots" die by Memory Box and Stitched Scallop Borders" die by Lawn Fawn both from Island Scrapbooking.  Also, flat-back pearls by Kaiser Crafts, butterfly punch by EK, and embossing folder by Cuttlebug.  And love the fact that I could ink Po with just one Copic marker.   Easy-peasy.

OK, OK, :-) I got carried away again and made 10....

Crane Coaster Calendar

Hey Peeps!  Hope you all had a nice weekend.  Hubby and I went to Costco (Kona) today and enjoyed a nice and relaxing drive.  Since we wanted to get back home quick, we ate at Costco....great meal deals.

Sharing with you today is my Crane Coaster Calendar with a magnetic strip on the back.  This bamboo washi paper which I got in Japan is one of my all-time faves.   Love this crane image by Sister Stamps for three reasons, it's super nice, the perfect size, and fast to color.  LOL.

And here are 5 of them.....

Last year, I bought a carousel of pens at Costco in Waikele on Oahu.    Wanting to get them again, I checked Costco in Kona a few times since but didn't see it until today.  Oh boy did my eyes light up when I saw them.  CHA-CHING....SCORE!!!   All you crafters, if you're looking for a awesome set of excellent pens in an amazing assortment of colors, THIS is the ONE.   For 100 pens, we paid $19.99. WHAT A STEAL OF A DEAL!!!

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!!!

Coaster Calendars with Anuhea...."Want Some Shaved Ice?"

Anuhea by Sister Stamps brings back memories of when my hubby (then boyfriend) went to the North Shore on Oahu and enjoyed the best Shaved Ice from Matsumoto's.  He even had a Matsumoto tee-shirt.  LOL.   OK, if you're from Oahu, we call it Shaved Ice.  Here on the Big Island, they call it Ice Shave.   But no matter what you call it, it is YUMMY!!!  I love mine with vanilla ice cream and azuki beans.   Ummmmmm.  Licking my chops.

So here's Anuhea enjoying her refreshing Shaved Ice with strawberry, banana, and vanilla syrup on a nice sunny dya.

I got carried away with this calendar and made 10 of them.....

Are you ready for a lot of pix?   The firm I work for is so awesome.  They treat us to luncheon every quarter.  This past week, we went to The Pond's.  Here's a  pix I took of the koi fishes from my seat next to the window.   They even gave each of us a little cup of koi food to feed them.

I ordered one of the specials of the day which was the Captain's Boat (Breaded shrimp, scallops, and fresh ahi with fries.)   No, that's not newspaper they put the food on....LOL, just looks like it.  :-)

One of my co-workers order this yummy sandwich and fries.

OK, I didn't want to reach over and take a pix of everyone's food.   Here's a shot of another co-workers Mango Ice Cream.  She said it was really good.  My co-worker and I shared the Creme Brulee but rats, I forgot to take a pix of that.   It was GOOOOOD!

THEN that evening, we had a family dinner at The Coconut Grill.  For starters, here's my salad.   Oh, I didn't know it was only one trip to the Salad Bar until after I made my plate.  Dang, should've piled it on some more.  LOL.

Here's the Sauteed Mushrooms......deeeelicious.

And Crab Cakes.  As Rachel Ray would say, "YummmmO".

I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken.  Yah, looks burnt.  Maybe just a little over done but my new camera seems to make things look darker than things really are.  This is probably my favorite item on the menu.

For dessert, I think this was called something like Coconut Creme Brulee with Haupia Ice Cream.

Here's my hubby's dessert, the Lava Cake.   Rich and yummy.

His cousin's dessert.  Sorry, can't remember the name of this scrumptious dessert but woo-hoo she said it was GOOD and will exercise the next day.  I asked her to exercise for me too.  Ha-ha-ha.

Hey Peeps!  My goodness, just 2 weeks till Christmas.  Can you believe that?  WOW.

The latter 2 are from Island Scrapbooking.

And here are 5 of them....

Coaster Calendar - Cuddly Pup on Daisy Rock

A few years ago, I wanted to start my own little crafty tradition.  So I decided to include a handmade coaster calendar with my handmade Christmas cards that I send to family and friends.  I've got an assortment to share with you in the days to come.   Oh, and the calendars start with December 2014.

For starters, I inked up this cute little pooch by Dandelion Design and placed her on the Daisy Rock image by Little Miss Muffet.   Inked both with Copics.   Oh yah, I love to create scenes so  I used the "Puffy Clouds" die by Memory Box and sun die from the "Classic Frame" set by Hero Arts.

And.....here are 9 of them.

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!!!!

November Secret Sister Swap

I was so excited when I found out I was Leanne's secret sister for November.  Being the month of Thanksgiving, I had the perfect image for her card.  And truly, I am thankful to have met her in blog land and in person during her visit to Hilo.  She's a super sweet gal and oh so talented.  Visit her blog here to see her awesome creations.  So happy she loved the card and goodies I sent to her.

For her card, I used these fun ingredients:
"Fancy Sunbonnet Thanksgiving" image by Little Miss Muffet
Copics
"Fanciful Flourish" die by Cheery Lynn
"Baby's Breath Flower Kit" dies by Cheery Lynn
"Stitched Scallop" die by Lawn Fawn from Island Scrapbooking
Spellbinder dies
DP from stash
Sentiment - made my own
Large flower embellie by Recollections - from Leanne
Frantage from Ben Franklin Crafts

I was pleasantly surprised with 2 secret sisters in November.  This card is from Annie.  Love the fall colors, sweet image, and layout.   She even added itty-bitty dots on her clothes.  Thank you very much Annie.  You put a smile on my face.

I also received this beautiful tri-fold card from my bloggie pal Colleen.   She is one busy, busy women yet finds time to whip up some cute cards and paper projects.   Love this card with the fall-themed wreath and pumpkins.

Colleen also surprised me with all these goodies that I'll have fun playing with.  Thank you so much Colleen for the awesome RAK and your sweet note.

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY.

Happy Birthday to My Dear Hubby and a lot of FOODIE pix

My sweet hubby celebrated his birthday last month.  He LOVE fishing so here's the card I made for him.

Ingredients for the card:
Doggie fishing image - from "Sunny Day" set by Penny Black
Copics
Sign and can of worms images - by High Hopes
Grass die by Poppy Stamp
Water in background - I used the Stitched Scallop die by Lawn Fawn
Embossing folder by Darice

And there's no better way to celebrate than by chowing down some GOOD FOOD.  We went to Seaside Restaurant and ordered several appetizers.

Sashimi (ummmmm, I'll pass on this)

Sauteed mushrooms.....YUMMY!

Fried Calamari....DEEEELICIOUS!!!

Warabi Salad.   For those of you who are not familiar with "warabi", it's fern shoots.  When we moved to the Big Island, that was the very first time I learned that people ate fern shoots.  Yikes, really?   But I tried it and oh boy, they're GOOOOD.

Shrimp Bisque, soup of the day.

My MIL ordered this shrimp pasta dish.

I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken......LOVED IT.

And hubby ordered this scallop pasta dish.

Unfortunately, our boys weren't able to make it.   Next time.

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!
