Teeny Weeny Christmas

Wishing you all a wonderful Happy Thanksgiving Day with family and friends.

Finally, here's my final Christmas card.   This year, my major "projects" were making items to donate for a craft fair with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society, making lots of Christmas cards, and coaster calendars to include with my holiday cards. That meant a bit of planning was in order.  In April and May, I worked on my donation crafts, June thru mid-Sept. were spent making the majority of my Christmas cards, and mid-Sept. thru November making coaster calendars.  My final set of cards posted here, were made a few weeks ago after Dandelion Designs released this sweet "must-have" stamp set called Teeny Weeny Christmas which I got at Ben Franklin Crafts.  Cute yah? Totally irresistible.

After I decide on a design/layout, I cut all the pieces and inked them up with Copics.   The circular scene and all those little snowmen cuties were fun (not fussy) cut.  I call that therapy.....LOL.  And now that I know Leanne loves to "fun" cut too, I always think of her when cutting images.  Hee-hee. Just curious, is there any one else who enjoys cutting?

And here are 6 of them.    The sentiment is by and from Island Scrapbooking.  And did you know you can now purchase them by email or by phone?  Click here to see the samples and ordering info.

I made a bunch of envelopes with the envelope punch board which I purchased at Ben Franklin Crafts.   GOOD STUFF!!!  Envelopes can be quite expensive and being a bit frugal, I bought a ream of 11" x 17" copy paper from OfficeMax when they had their 20% off bag sale a couple of months ago.  I used them to make envelopes for my 5" x 7" cards because the sheets need to be cut into a
9 1/2" square.  Letter-size paper is too small.   I believe I paid less than $20.00 for a ream.   That's a steal of a deal to be able to make 500 envelopes for under 20 bucks.   Plus, with the extra part I cut off, I could make 500 smaller envelopes.  Woo-hoo.

Other ingredients used:
Snowflake Corner by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking
Snowflake embossing folder by Darice.

My blogaversary candy is up next so I hope you'll pop in for a visit and to enter for a chance to win.

Thanks for stopping by.  HAPPY SHOPPING ON BLACK FRIDAY and CYBER MONDAY!!!!

Season's Tweetings

How many of you are fans of The Voice?  OMGosh, I have my favorite singer now and that is Chris Jamison.  I TOTALLY LOVED his performance singing "Uptown Funk" this past  Monday night and watched it on-line MANY times since.  WOW, that guy rocked the stage.   It brought back memories of the days when my friends and I went nightclubing and danced the night away.  Woo-hoo.  Made me feel young.  LOL.

Boy am I getting excited about Black Friday.  Better make my Plan of Attack....LOL.  How 'bout you???

Here's a tweet CAS card using the "Winter Sparrows" mini set by Lawn Fawn from Island Scrapbooking.  Inked these cute little birdies with Copics and fussy.... oh I mean "fun" cut them.   They are perched on the "Small Pine Branch" die by Poppy Stamps from Island Scrapbooking.

Winter Is Warmer Together

I really have a passion for creating cards with a scene.  Since I got the "Landscape" die by Mama Elephant from Island Scrapbooking, it's become one of my faves.  And more so because it has the stitched look...yay, no need to take out my sewing machine.    The little snowmen image is by Stampendous which I inked up with Copics.   I also used the "Puffy Clouds" die by Memory Box and "LR0283" pine tree landscape die by Marianne Design.  To add snow on the tree branches, I cut the trees with green cardstock and placed it a tiny bit lower over the white trees.

And here are 5 of them......

Happy, happy crafting and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!!!

Cappy - Eager to Decorate the Trees

Woo-hoo, I'm so excited because I finally get to start sharing with you the Christmas cards I made for friends and family this year.   Knowing that I needed LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of time to get these done, I started in June and managed to finish 60 by mid-September.   Then I had to work on my little gift calendars.  But, I think I'll need a few more Christmas cards so I'm working on another set now. Hope you'll visit often as I plan to post something new every other day.

First up is happy Cappy by Sister Stamps ready to string his lights on the trees in his snow-covered back yard.  I love Christmas lights and had this light image by Stampendous for a few years.  I inked up Doogie, his Santa's cap by Dandelion Designs, and the lights, then fussy cut them.  Though it was a bit tedious cutting around the string of lights, I had fun.  Plus,  I love to cut paper.   A little slit was cut under Doogie's left paw so I could tuck the light under to make it look like he's holding it.

Once I decide on a layout or scene, which often times takes a while....LOL, I'll cut out / prepare all of the pieces, then assemble them onto the cards.

And here are 5 of them ready to go....

Other crafty items used:
Tree die by Marianne Design
"Star of Wonder" die by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking
Embossing folder by Cuttlebug
Stickles for some sparkle on Cappy's cap
Sentiment - laser cut by and from Island Scrapbooking

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!!

October Secret Sister Swap and a Sweet Thank You Card

I was super excited when I found out I was Colleen's secret sister for the October Secret Sister Swap. Here's the card I made for her.  I inked up this image by Elisabeth Bell with Copics, framed her in an oval die cut by Spellbinder, and textured the white background with Fran-tage.  For the background, I used this cute DP from the Bluebell paper pack by Wild Rose Studio. Other fun products are listed below.

Here's a close-up of the flowers....

Other ingredients for this card:
Large scallop die
Lace by Simplicity
Leaf die by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking
Butterfly - handmade by a sweet and amazingly talented bloggie friend
Black and white ribbon by Offray
Sentiment by Amy R. Stamps
Charm - Handmade by me

So happy she loved the card and RAK I sent to her.

My secret sister for October was Leanne.  I totally love this kawai'i (cute) card she made using a Kitty Bee image which I'm keeping in my collection.

And OMGosh, she sent me a boxful of these awesome goodies.  My eyes almost fell out.  See that purse-frame with the 2 Sister Stamps image?   I have it displayed on my computer desk shelf.   Now I can enjoy looking at it everyday and be inspired.   THANK YOU SO MUCH LEANNE.  I was ALL SMILES and you MADE MY DAY.

And here's a thank you card I received from Colleen for a gift I had sent to her.   CUTE image and she colored it so well.

And here is an awesome assortment of fun pens and HK note set she sent me.   I'm keeping the HK note set on my nightstand as I love to read before going to bed, am always writing notes for myself, and love to mark pages from my card magazines and some books.   Those sticky page markers will come in handy for sure.   LOVE 'EM ALL. THANK YOU COLLEEN.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you'll visit again very soon as my next post will be the start of sharing my holiday cards.   Can't wait to share them with you.

Toodles and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!!!
