Seize the Cake

One of my 3 son's love to cook and it's such a treat for me when he does because that means I have more time to play with my rubber stamps. :-) There is a catch though....I need to clean up......and believe me, he make a royal mess. LOL. I don't mind though because he's a great cook.
People think I'm a good cook because I have "tons" of cookbooks. Actually, I'm a great "collector" of cookbooks. Ha-ha. If you're looking for a particular recipe, drop me an email. If I have the recipe you're looking for, I'll gladly share.

Anyhoo, here's my latest card....

Thank you Jenny

I'm so thankful to my friend Jenny (Crazy for Paper) for giving me tips and helping me out with my blog. When I first created my blog, I was so "lost" much of the time. I remember trying to send an email to someone who commented on one of my post and ended up becoming a follower of my own blog. Yikes!!!! I went thru a lot of challenging moments. LOL. I still have lots and lots to learn and S-L-O-W-L-Y "getting there." :-) THANKS JENNY!!!

Here's a little something I made for her.

This is a smaller version of the "Chocolate for Michele" posted earlier this month. I enclosed some bling and GC in the pocket.
And here's a matching card.

Hello Kitty Candy Tray

I'm "recycling" again. Can you guess what I used for the pattern? It's a 12-pack box of Eclipse gum from Costco. I'm the rubbish collector.....LOL.

Over the weekend I bought a pkg. of Hersheys Miniatures. When my son saw the package, he said, "Oh, alright, CANDY!" I quickly said, "WAIT!!! YOU CAN'T EAT IT YET. I gotta make something with it first." So he told me to hurry up. Hee-hee.

The candy is wrapped with Hello Kitty origami paper.

Now my son can have his candy. :-)

Oriental Card Portfolio with Matching Cards

First of all, I invite you to "stay tuned" as my Blog Candy Giveaway #3 will be posted very soon for your chance to win some yummy "candy." As the saying goes, "Three's a charm." :-)

I'm really having fun with my new sets of Spellbinder dies from Island Scrapbooking. This is my favorite.

This card portfolio is SOOOOO EASY to make. Are you like me.....thinking of Christmas already? This would sure make a nice gift.

Also, the portfolio can be used for cards with 3-D flowers or one with a lot of bling. After all our hard work creating a "masterpiece" card, we sure wouldn't want the recipient to receive crushed flowers or embellishments. Ahhhh!

A few years ago, while "surfing the 'net," I came across this great website that had LOTS of awesome and free templates. Check it out at http://www.ruthannzaroff.com/ Click on Mirkwood Designs Templates & More, then click on Templates. ENJOY!!!

Below is the back view of the portfolio...
