"Hook Up"

Hi Everyone!  Though its still spring, I can feel the weather warming up.  In no time, it'll be summer which put me in the mood to create a summer scene.  I'll save this card for my hubby since he LOVES to fish.

Ummmm, I'm not really sure, but I think this image is by LOTV (Lili of the Valley).  If not, can you please let me know?  (Update:  Found out this image is by Penny Johnson) I inked this happy fishing bear with Copic and surrounded that little scene with a sandy shore near the calm ocean.    I used a speckled stamp by Stampin' Up to create the "sand", ocean design  and sky DPs from my stash.  Also, palm tree and sun dies by Hero Arts, starfish stamp by Stampin' up, and Flying Birds dies by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking.

Okie dokie, thanks for stopping by and have a great rest-of-the-week!

A Thank You Card for a Surprise RAK

A couple of weeks ago, a dear friend sent me a surprise RAK.  Talk about happy mail.  I was ALL SMILES when I opened the pkg. to find a whole bunch of stamps by Create in Me.  I have never heard of that brand before but they sure make super cute stamps.  Using the image with the cutest little pup peeking out of the mailbox, I made her this thank you card.

These stamps will guaranty enjoy their new home.  I stamped the images on 2 pieces of cardstock and put the stamps in the clear plastic bag, just like in the store.   :-)  Aren't they CUTE???

This past week, we celebrated my b/d in the office with a yummy quiche from Short 'n Sweet.  As mentioned in an earlier post, we now ask the b/d person what they would like.  Rather than the traditional "cake", I chose quiche.   Ummmm, that was so yummy.

One of my co-workers got bentos from Kawamoto's for everyone.  Oh, and last week, there was an itty-bitty bit of confusion.  Someone thought my b/d was a week sooner and another co-worker bought bentos for everyone too which she got at Seoul Station.   Guess you can call it double-celebration.  Sorry, no pix of those bentos.  Both were deeeeelicious.

My co-worker from Oahu, brought these "broke-da-mouth" malasadas from Kam Bakery.  The dark ones are taro (no, they are not burnt) and the others, strawberry.   I LOVE the slightly chewy texture. These are to die for and sinfully delicious.   If you're on Oahu, you gotta try them.

And...my office-mate brought yummy mini muffins and made a huge, I mean HUGE bowl of Somen Salad.   Eeeek, I forgot to take a pix of that.  As you can see, I work with the best group of awesome people.

Easter Treats for the Office

Hope you all had a nice Easter!   Here's what I shared with my co-workers last week.  These packages are so cute in size.  They measure 2 1/2 x 4 inches.  Just enough to fit 3 Hersheys miniature candy.  The image is by Hero Arts and sentiment by Savvy Stamps.

Here are 7 of them....

And I wrapped each candy with DP, great way to use up those little pieces....

My very good friend took me to dinner this afternoon.  Here's what we both ordered from Hilo Rice Noodle.  It's the House Crispy Noodles and if you're a noodle lover like me, I would highly recommend this.
Delicious and  no onions.   Yay!!!  Hee-hee.

She also gave me these sweet treats.....

And Custard Filled Croissants.  Oh, if you live in Hilo, you gotta try these.  They are full-on YUMMY!

And these cute Hello Kitty note clips made with little clothes pins.  Does anyone know where I can get these HK embellies?

Rats, don't mind this pix, I cut the cake then remembered to take a pix.  I always do that. LOL.  One of my sons and his girlfriend got my favorite today....a Dream Cake from Zippy's.  I'm in heaven.  Calories don't count today....LOL.

Hubby and I will go out a bit later since there's a lot going on right now.

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!

Sweet Easter Treat

Hi Everyone!  Hope all of you are enjoying the long weekend.  As for me, I spent most of yesterday cleaning house including the jealousies.  Whew, glad that chore is off my "to do" list.  Also, hopped over to the post office and lookie what arrived in the mail... the CUTEST little Easter basket from Eunice.  OMGosh, it's filled with yummy cookies and Easter candy, too nice to open.  I'll admire it a bit longer before I grind the treats.  LOL. THANK YOU, EUNICE!!!!  (Big smile)

Here's the front.....

And here's the back...SO CUTE YAH?

Last night, hubby and I dined at Zippy's (Hilo) for the first time. Can you believe that?  They've been open since last August.  Till now, I've just gone to their bakery numerous times and to their take-out counter.  As you can see, we were starving.  Chomp, chomp.

I ordered the Zip Min (my fave).  It comes with a breaded shrimp that they usually put in the broth but I asked for it on the side because I wanted it crispy.  Hee-hee.

Hubby order the Teriyaki Pork with brown rice and mac salad.  He said it was excellent.

We both shared the Fried Tofu with Korean Sauce Salad.  Oh, this is a "winna"....

I also order the "small" Roast Turkey and shared this with my hubby too.

Don't faint, we also shared a Banana Royale.   Oh sorry, forgot to take a pix before we sunk our teeth into it.  LOL.  By the end of that, we were full to our eyeballs.  What a great evening!

Thanks for stopping by and have a HAPPY EASTER!

"Doomo Arigato"

Gotta say, this was a FUN card to make.  The pooch reminds me of our "Buddy."  I sent this card to Jean of Dandelion Designs for the fun contest she recently had.  The airplane image and banner are from the "Fun Trip Set."  I stamped the sentiment in the banner and added two of her mini stamps, all by Dandelion Designs.

Other products used:
DP from stash
Distress Ink
Grass stamp from Viva Las Vegasstamp
Baby's Breath die set by Cheery Lynn

Kimie's Bunny Friends

I can't get over the cuteness of these Easter stamps by Sister Stamps.  Denise is one heck of an amaaaazing artist who really puts "life" into all of the images.  Aren't these cuties irresistible?  Here's kawai'i (cute) Kimie playing with her little bunny friends while Jade playfully rolls around in the grass and Moon takes a leap after a butterfly.   'kay, I had to add that sentiment in the carrot.  Wadaya think of my handmade carrot?   Hee-hee.

Thought this would be the perfect time to share with you this little bunny that our youngest son and his girlfriend adopted last week.  They don't know if its a male or female so he/she has no name yet.   Hmmmm, let's see if I can come up with a name of my own for now until he/she is given the "official" name.  LOL.   How 'bout Fuzzy or Hoppy or Fuzzball or Whiskers?   Got any suggestions bloggie friends?

For my card, I used these products:
Copics
Grass die by Impression Obsession
Grass punch by Martha Stewart
Spellbinder dies
Egg punch by Martha Stewart
DP from stash
Sentiment by Savvy Stamps
Butterfly punch by EK
Pearl by Kaiser Craft

"So Sweet"

I'm having fun inking up LOTV images.  Love this sweet little cutie.   The flower die is called "Prim Poppy" by Memory Box which I got at Island Scrapbooking.  Thought I'd do  something a bit different by cutting two extra flowers in yellow and pink, then layer them for dimension.  I really like how it turned out.  What do you think?

Other fun and crafty products used:
Copics
DP from stash
Spellbinder dies
Punch by Martha Stewart
Ribbon by Offray
