Sweet Little Indian Girl

Hiya Peeps!  Can you believe it'll be August this Friday?????  Holy cow, where did the time go?  This year is just whizzing by like a big blur.

Anyhoo, I have a Whimsy card to share with you today.  Meet Wyanet.  Her name means beautiful.  Since she is so sweet and feminine, I couldn't resist adding a bunch of flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts.   And to keep the Indian theme, I used the feather die by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking.

I also used:
Copics
Distress Ink
Pearls by e.
DP from stash

Thanks for visiting and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!

Enjoying Yummy Shave Ice...oh ohhh Leilani, what happened?

These adorable images by Sister Stamps sure brings back memories of when my hubby (then boyfriend) and I took a drive to the north shore on Oahu and enjoyed some yummy shave ice at Matsumoto Store.   They had the best!!! After we got married and moved to the Big Island, we continued to enjoy this refreshing treat at Itsu's.   I like mine with ice cream, azuki beans, and strawberry syrup.  Ummmm.

I used these fun dies to create this scene....
"Country Landscape" by Memory Box
Clouds from the "Spring Showers" die set by Lawn Fawn
"Stitched Scalloped Border" by Lawn Fawn

All of the dies are from Island Scrapbooking.

Also used the "Daisy Rock" image by Little Miss Muffet (I LOVE this stamp!!!) and Stickles on the shave ice.  Anuhea and Leilani's blouses were paper-pieced with itty-bitty scraps that I had.  They sure come in handy.  Oh, and to add dimension, I made tiny little bows using a single-strand of embroidery floss.  I swear these were the tiniest bows I've ever made.  FUN!

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!!!

A Thank You Card Using a Bunch of Dies

Hey Peeps!  If you live on the Big Island, I hope you didn't get drenched from the rain where you live.  Really though, it wasn't bad at all where I live.  Whew!   Yesterday I went to my friend's church for their annual bazaar.  Got some yummy baked goods, plate lunches, books, etc.

I'm really crazy about dies, just can't seem to have enough.  LOL.  Here's a "thank you" card I made using a bunch of dies and  framed it with a colorful stripe DP by Lawn Fawn.

Here's  a list of all the dies I used:
"Thank You Garland" by Memory Box
"Kensington Branch" by Memory Box
"Picket Fence" by Poppy Stamps
"Stitched Scalloped Border" by Lawn Fawn
"Garden Pots" by Memory box
"Tiny Tulips" by Memory Box

I also added a few flat-back pearls by Kaiser Crafts.   All of the supplies are from Island Scrapbooking.

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY.

Iris (Fairy)

Hi there Peeps!  I'm so glad the stormy weather is gone.  Boy did we get some rain, thunder, and lightning the past couple of days.

Got another Whimsy card to share today.   Meet Iris who I inked up with Copics.  I think she's such a cute fairy and couldn't resist giving her wings some sparkle with Stickles.  I also used these crafty products for this card:  Lace, DP by Doodlebug, "Dainty Leaf" die by Poppy Stamps, "Floral Vine" die by Memory Box, distress ink, and pearls by Kaiser Crafts, all from Island Scrapbooking.  Also, corner dies by Spellbinder.

I recently received my order for an assortment of flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts from Stamp and Create.    I love this company because their service is SUPER FAST.  Here's a close-up of some of the flowers from my order.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Happy crafting and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY.

Kimie Gardening with her Fuzzy Friends

After purchasing the "Landscape" die by Mama Elephant at Island Scrapbooking, creating a scene became easy-peasy.  I totally LOVE this die and having a blast with it.  I knew that the "Garden Pots" and  "Garden Tools" dies by Memory Box would go hand-in-hand for a scene-type card but I needed a "person."   So I looked thru my collection of Sister Stamps because many of their images are easy to tweak.  When I saw Kimie, I knew she was "the one."   The actual image has her petting her little bunny which I clipped off.  I then placed the gardening tool in her left hand and flower stem in her right.  For the pile of dirt, it was flat at first but I needed dimension, so I took a little piece of a cottonball and placed it under, then adhered it with double-sided tape.  Oh, and a tiny slit was cut to insert the little hand shovel.  For dimension in the foreground, I used the "Stitched Scallop Border" die by Lawn Fawn.  Thought it would go well with the "Landscape" dies because both have the stitched look.

Here's a pix of all the dies I used including "Kimie" in the actual image with 3 of her furry friends.  All are from Island Scrapbooking.

Speaking of furry friends, a couple of months ago, I posted a pix of the cute "little" bunny that my youngest son and his girlfriend adopted.  At that time they couldn't tell if it was a male or female so the bunny had no name.  Well, although they still don't know the gender bunny finally has a name.   It's "Bun Bun."   Oh but let me tell you, Bun Bun is no longer "little."    Here's Bun Bun then........

And Bun Bun now.   I swear he/she is the biggest rabbit I've ever seen.  Bun Bun's fur is SO LONG now that he/she has dreadlocks by his/her belly.  LOL.

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!   Toodles.

A Wedding Card for the Happy Couple

Last month, our youngest son's friend tied the knot with his high school sweetheart.  Oh my, are they at that age already????  Yikes.

When I first set eyes on this wedding image by Sister Stamps, I knew it was a must-have.   I love white-on-white cards and thought it would be perfect for this special occasion.  The details may be a bit hard to see but if you click on the pix to enlarge it, it'll be easier to see.

Here's a close-up of the sakura flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts and buds by All Natural Accents....

Some of the cards I make have flowers and embellies so a box-type envelope was definitely in order but I never looked into purchasing one.  THEN at a recent rummage sale, I spotted this "Envelobox by Crafter's Companion that was placed in a Ziploc bag.  Ohh, I felt like I discovered gold and grabbed it QUICK. Guess how much I paid for this????   Just 3 bucks.   Woo-hoo, what a steal of a deal.....cha-ching$$$$$.   Well, I was so eager to try it out but holy cow, I read the instructions over and over and over, and tried to make an envelope several times to no avail.  Then the light bulb went on.  I checked YouTube and THANK GOODNESS I found a tutorial.   It was soooo EASY-PEASY.  YAY!!!!

Here's the envelobox I made for the wedding card.  I also used the "Fancy Tags Two" die by Spellbinder.

Ingredients for the card....
Copics
Cherry Blossom Embossing folder
Spellbinder dies
Silver textured paper from "Christmas Foil" pad by american Crafts from Ben Franklin Crafts
Fran-tage from Ben Franklin Crafts
Edge punch by Stampin' Up
Corner Accent die by Joy Craft with the center section snipped off
Sentiment by Hero Arts
Ribbon and charm from stash.

Hello Peeps!  Hope you're all having a FUN weekend.

I must say, I do LOVE circle cards and its been a while since I made one so ta-daaa, here's one featuring Harumi by Sister Stamps.  To give it a bit of an Asian touch, I used washi paper and  the Cherry Blossom embossing folder by Cuttlebug.  Then used a bunch of dies listed below.

Fun dies used for this card:
Circle and scallop dies by Spellbinder
"Floral Vine" and "Dainty Leaf" dies by Poppy Stamps from Island Scrapbooking
"Pop-Up Thanks" by Memory Box (from my sweet cuz...thank you)
"Norrland Flower" die by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking

"Soy Happy For You"

Hi Everyone!  Hope you're all enjoying the long weekend.  I spent part of the day reorganizing my craft cave.  Let's see how long it'll stay that way....probably 2 hours.  LOL.

Here's a card I sent to my mom.  I used DP from my stash, Spellbinder dies, embossing folder by Cuttlebug, and all of the images are from the "Let's Roll" stamp set by Lawn Fawn from Island Scrapbooking.  This is really a fun set to have.   The shoyu bottle image was stamped onto vellum paper.  Initially, I inked the shoyu part with Copics, but it came out blotchy so I paper-pieced it instead.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you continue to have a fabulous weekend.

Celebrating Independence Day

Happy 4th of July everyone!   In celebration of the birth of America's independence, I made this CAS card. The image is a digi by Sassy Cheryl called "Honoring the Flag - Maddie" which I inked up with Copics.   I also used Labels Two by Spellbinders (Nestabilities), a quote bubble from "A Birdie Told Me" set by Lawn Fawn, "Cosmic Star Set" die by Memory Box, and DP by Reminisce.  The latter 3 are from Island Scrapbooking.    Oh, and the quote was made on my computer.

Hope you all have a fabulous long weekend.  Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!

Li-Li's Living Room

Holy cow, can you believe its July already?  Where in the world did the time go?????

Sharing with you today is another scene card that I gave to Michele at Island Scrapbooking as a sample for her store.  Here's Li-Li by Sister Stamps hugging her cute little teddy bear (actually a panda that I turned into a teddy....lol) that I inked up with Copics.   To create this scene, I used the following dies:  Small Madison Window, Lacy Curtains, Aston Side Table, Large Verano Lamp by Poppy Stamps, and Puffy Clouds by Memory Box.  These dies are from Island Scrapbooking.  Can you see the loopy frill on the lamp shade?  It's from a little piece of lace to add some dimension. And see that cute little pup peeking in the window?  It's one of my favorite images by Dandelion Designs.
I created my own wall hanging with the "Home Sweet Home" sentiment on my computer and the DPs for the wallpaper and floor are from my ever-growing stash.

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!!!!
