"Doomo Arigato" CAS Card

Hey Peeps!  How's your week going so far?  Hope all is well.

Here's a thank you card I made last week.  Since it was for a guy, I dug thru my stamp collection for one fit for a male.   Gee, I realized I didn't have much to choose from.  Anyhoo, I think this crane worked out well.

Supplies:  Crane stamp (sorry, no brand name on the stamp), Copics, washi paper, "doomo arigato" stamp by Dandelion Design, Spellbinder dies, edge punch by EK, Distress Ink, and pearls by Kaiser Craft.

Thanks for popping in for a visit and you sweet comments.  Have a Scrap Happy Day.

May Secret Sister Swap

Happy Aloha Friday Peeps!!!  Gee, I think I'm overdue for a post so here's a quickie.

With Bon Dance season just around the corner, I'd like to share this card I made for Maria from Mililani.  I was her Secret Sister.  Here's Yoshi and Miyono by Sister Stamps dancing under the "chochin" (paper lanterns).  They were inked up with Copics.  I added little sakura (cherry blossom) stickers to Miyono's hair and on her fans, and some itty bitty ones on the twine for the chochin.  The sakura stickers are by Mind Wave which I got in Japan.

Here's a close-up of the chochins.   I added black embroidery thread for dimension.
Other supplies used:  Fan stamp by My Little Shoe Box, rocks are from portions of a Hero Arts stamp, embossing powder for the bamboo, and grass by Viva Las Vegasstamps.

May Anything Goes Swap

Helloooo Peeps!  Hope you're all enjoying your weekend.   My friend Faye and I enjoyed some  deeeeelicious Won Ton Min for lunch today at New China Restaurant despite the scorching HOT but beautiful day.  If it wasn't for the cooool A/C in the restaurant, I would've had their yummy buffet.

I want to share this card I made for my May Anything Goes Swap partner, Kathy from Kentucky.   The theme was "flowers."   I must say I had fun with this humorous card.  The image is by Magenta which I got at Island Scrapbooking.   For you cat lovers in Hilo, there was one more left when I stopped by the store today.  The sentiment is by Inky Impressions, so perfect for this image.
And here's my splash of flowers which are by Prima and All Natural Accents.  I added a "meow" tag by Eyelit Outlet, and a bead pick which I made.  Other supplies:  Copics, DP by DCWV, doily, laser cut leaves from Island Scrapbooking, Distress Ink, pearls by Kaiser Craft, and twine.

Here the card I received from Kathy.

And some alphabet stickers.   Thanks Kathy.

Graduation Card

Here's Yoshi again by Sister Stamps.   In this scene, he's so happy and tossed his graduation cap in the air.   The cap stamp is by Stampendous which came with the tassel.   But to give it dimension, I cut it off, made a tiny hole in the center of the cap, and used embroidery thread.

 Here's a close-up....
His "diploma" is a rolled up piece of vellum paper which I tied with twine.

I think there's a lot you can do with Yoshi.   Flip him over and he's doing cartwheels, like on Leanne's blog that she posted a few weeks ago.  She's so clever.   He also looks like he's dancing, which is another card I made and will post soon.

Other supplies:  Clouds by Memory Box, Congrats and doggie stamp by Dandelion Design,  grass stamp by Viva Las Vegasstamps, Distress Ink, Spellbinder dies, Copics, and washi paper.

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy crafting.

A Surprise B/D Package

I received a pleasant surprise in the mail today from Jeri.  Check out this pretty card she made.  Aren't those tulips gorgeous?     Nice coloring Jeri!!!!   You're a pro.  I'm trying to get her to start a blog.   Wish me luck.   :-)

She also sent me these super cute mini stamps by Dandelion Designs.  They'd be perfect for tags,  cards, and favors.    Also, a little cloud stamp.   I love creating scenes so it'll be fun adding my new clouds.
Thanks so much Jeri.   That was super sweet of you.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you devoted, hard-working, loving, and caring Mom's.  I wish you all a fabulous and relaxing day spent with your family.

 Here's a close-up.....

Birthday Goodies

Hellooooo Peeps!   Aren't 'ya glad it's Friday?  Hoping to get some crafting in this weekend.  How 'bout you?

I want to share some really special goodies I received for my b/d which was last month.   First up, is from Jenny.   You may have seen this on her blog a few days ago.   Woo-hoo, I'm so honored to have received this "flip it" card featuring this cutie that will be in Release 8 by Sister Stamps.  She fits so perfectly in the the circle.  Mark your calendars ladies...... release date is 7/1/12.

Here's a peek at the front of the card.
And a peek with the card fully opened.
WOW, and check out this mini album.   Cool huh?  I LOVE the bling-bling and the pretty butterfly.
Here's the inside of the first page.
And when you pull on the tab, the pages flip over.   Jenny, you make the neatest things.   Can you share some of your talent genes with me?    LOL.  I know she put her heart into the card and album and I'll treasure them forever.  Thank you Jenny.
My son got this stack, sweet stickers, and a bamboo stamp for me.
And my friend Faye too me out to lunch at Miyo's a few weeks ago and gave me some goodies from her recent trip to Japan.  Oh, those green tea Kit Kats are yummy.  Can't find them in Hawaii.

Hubby gave up buying me clothes for b/d and Xmas because I always end up exchanging them.  So now he tells me it would be better for me (and him) to buy my own because he knows all I want are craft stuff.  I have oodles and he doesn't know what I want and already have.   Hee-hee....oh, that's perfectly fine with me.  I'm buying some Mother's Day goodies tomorrow, even though I'm not his mother.  Hee-hee.

Thanks for stopping by.   Hope you have a nice and relaxing weekend.   And to all you Mom's out there, hope you're treated like a Queen.   HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!
