A Micey Birthday Card

Yup, a lot of sweet birthdays this time of the year.  Our youngest son's girlfriend just celebrated her birthday and here's the card I made for her.    Kept it a bit simple by inking this Penny Black image (Micey Day set) with Copics.   They were super fast to color since the mice are tiny.  :-)  Having fun with sequins so I had to add a few on for some sparkle.  Also used "Stitched Country Border" die by Memory Box, "Flags" die by QuicKutz, rhinestones and flat-back pearls.

Thanks for poppin' in for a visit.   Wishing you a scrap happy day.

Taking a Stroll

Hey Peeps!  Hope you're all dry in your home town.  We're getting LOTS of rain from Tropical Storm Niala that's passing south of the Big Island now.  Thank goodness, it didn't turn into a hurricane. Whew, dodged that one!

I've been wanting to use another one of the dies from "MFT-599Die-namics Stitched Basic E" that my sweet cuz had sent to me and whipped up this scene with "Emily Walking" by Wild Rose Studios.

Also used:
"Twiggy Tree" and "Stitched Sky" by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking
"Stitched Landscapes" by Poppy Stamps from Island Scrapbooking
"Baby's Breath Flower Kit by Cheery Lynn

Stay dry peeps!

Happy Birthday to Our "Baby" and Some Foodie Pix

Well, our "baby" definitely is no baby at all but I still made him a "cutsie" birthday card.   Some of you know that he and his girlfriend have 2 bunnies so when I saw this image, I just had to get it for his card.  This son of our has a great sense of humor and comes up with the wittiest things to say. Want a laugh, just hang out with him.  LOL.

For this card, I inked up"Bunny's Birthday" by Whimsy Stamps with Copics.  The sentiment is by Elizabeth Crafts Designs.  I'm loving the cloud die by "Landscape Trio" as a border so had to make another card with that idea.  And the balloon DP is from my stash.

Hubby and I had dinner at Zippy's last Friday.  Yup, I couldn't resist the Zip Min.  NOODLES!!!  My fave!

Hubby had to save his appetite for dessert so he just ordered a mini Teri Pork plate.

He was craving the Banana Royale.......yummy!!!!

And I enjoyed the Strawberry Gelatin Parfait.   Light and deelish.

On Saturday morning it was back to Zippy's again but this time for breakfast and to enjoy fellowship with some wonderful church ladies.  I saw the Miso Garlic Chicken Salad on the TV commercial so I had to try it.  It was really ono.   I don't eat chicken skin and some of the pieces had skin on it.  Soooo, I cut them off and ate the meat.  When I was done, one of the ladies pointed to the "stuff" on my plate and asked, "What's that?"  I told her, "Chicken skin.....unhealthy right?"  She said, "Yup."   I told her I often massacre my food.   Hee-hee-hee.

Alright, it's almost time for The Voice, my favorite show.

Happy Birthday Dear Son

Our eldest son recently celebrated his birthday.  Since he and his girlfriend have pet rats.... oh, I mean mice, I thought this image would be perfect.   The image is from the "Critter Party Set" by Penny Black which I inked up with Copics.  Using the cloud die from the "Landscape Trio" set by Mama Elephant, I thought it made a nice and interesting border.  Added the sentiment by Elizabeth Craft Designs and Candi Dots by Craftworkcards.  LOVE those dots!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a super fun and crafty weekend.

Asian Birthday Card

Yesterday, I took my very dear friend out to lunch to celebrate her birthday.  We both enjoyed our chat and yummy food from One-Plus-One, a Vietnamese restaurant.  Hot as it was outside, I craved their Special Noodle Soup.  I think they make the best!!!!  My friend ordered the Bok Choi with Shiitake Mushroom and Tofu.   Dang!!!!  I took pix but somehow lost it while importing it to my new CPU that we just set up yesterday.  And I can't find them on my camera either.  Must be in outer space somewhere.   LOL.  Maybe it means we have to go out to lunch again.  Ha-ha.  Having to figure out how to do things with the new CPU was making me crazy.   But I got it.... I got it.  Yaaay, all smiles.   Well, here's the CAS card I made for her.  Life's been a bit hectic lately so I kept it simple.

Ingredients for this card:
"Cherry Blossom" die by Darice from my blog buddy, Leanne
Fan die by Inspire
Cherry Blossom Embossing Folder by Cuttlebug
Sentiment by Elizabeth Craft Designs
Flat-back Pearls by Want 2 Scrap

A Big "Thank You" to Leanne

I recently was a SUPER LUCKY winner of one of Leanne's 1,000th post blog candy and received an abundance of yummy goodies.  OMG, I almost fainted when I opened the box to find a whole bunch of dies, super cute images, and dang sweet embellies.  Using one of the images she sent, I inked "A Fairy Hug" by Tina Wenke with Copics.   The "THANKS" die by Taylored Expressions she included was perfect for this card I sent to her.  I like how the black pops on the colorful striped DP which was cut with the "Stitched Borders 2" die set by Pretty Pink Posh.  For added dimension, I added Fran-tage, Stickles on the fairies' wings, butterflies, and flat-back pearls.   So happy she liked the card and RAK I sent to her.  Be sure to visit Leanne's're guaranteed to be inspired.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!   Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!!!
