Happy Easter and Happy Mail

Wow, where did the time go?   Can't believe Easter is just around the corner.  Brings back memories of when I was a child and we used to color eggs.  Sometimes we'd use crayons to make a design on the boiled egg first, then dipping them into the dye.   Then my brother and I would have an egg fight. Oh no, we didn't throw them at each other.....LOL, although that would've been fun too.   Don't think our parents would be smiling if we did that.  Bwahahaha. We each held an egg in our hand and would tap each other's egg using the part we thought was the strongest. Whoever's egg cracked, lost.   We sure ate a lot of Deviled Egg Sandwiches after Easter.  How 'bout you?

Well, on to my card.   Using this sweet bunny image by Kitty Bee, I inked it up with Copics.  Added 2 layers of laser cut grass by and from Island Scrapbooking and "hid" some eggs that were punched out with a Martha Stewart punch.   Used the QuicKutz die for the pennant and buttons by Pebbles. For dimension, I tied knots on the buttons with carpet thread.

And I can't wait to share the surprise happy mail I received recently.  Ohhh man, I was ready to do cartwheels when I opened the box to find this super kawa'i treat box from my blog buddy Eunice.  I tell you, she makes some of the most amazing projects.  You've got to check out her blog here.  You WILL be so inspired.

I was really careful opening the box as I didn't want to damage it.  Here's the box opened.   I spy some goodies inside.  Licking my chops.

Yum!!!!  These individually packaged mochi  were  deeeelicious.

But wait, there's more (oh, I sound like a TV commercial....LOL).  Eunice also made this cool calendar. How awesome is that????   Her work is so professional, a true craft expert.   THANKS A MILLION EUNICE!!!    Sure made my day special.

Thank you for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY.

We had hard boiled egg fights, too....so much fun! Good thing I love egg salad sandwiches. Your card is kawa'i to the max. I love the images and colors. Eunice's gift is a crafted masterpiece. I saw her cherry blossom boxes on her blog site and wondered who would be the lucky recipients....glad that one of them was you. I met her once at an Iolani function. She is sweet and talented.

I don't remember having egg fights, but I do remember coloring eggs and coloring them with crayons or the white crayon then dipping them in the color solution. It was sooo cool when they dried to see who's was the cutest. Yes, I remember eating lots of egg salad sandwiches... ahh those were the days. Super cute card with the KBD image. You should definitely link up at the Aloha Friday Challenge if you haven't already. (Just sayin')
Wowee, you got one of those beautiful boxes from Eunice! I saw them on her blog and said wow, whoever receives one is going to be a lucky girl. :)
You both are very talented and I love visiting each of your blogs. Have a great week and Happy Easter Karen!!

I never had egg fights with my brother but I remember having so much fun coloring all the eggs. And then eating egg salad all week. Of course the best part of Easter was getting all the Easter baskets filled with chocolate bunnies and toys. Very cute box from Eunice!
