BFF

Hope you all had a very nice weekend.
Yesterday, hubby and I hung out with his cousins.  It's ALWAYS a lot of fun catching up with everyone.

Today I'm sharing this card I made using the "BFF" image by Sister Stamps from their most recent release.  HOW CUTE IT THAT????

I used washi paper which I won from Lynn a few months ago for the background and kiminos (paper-pieced).  THANKS LYNN!!!  The matching trim on the kimonos were also paper-pieced which I cut very slowly.  :-)    Other supplies:  Spellbinder dies, flowers by Prima and Wild Orchid, BFF die cuts from Island Scrapbooking (so perfect for this image), Copics, Distress ink, dog image by Dandelion Designs, leaf punch by EK, grass stamp by Viva Las Vegasstamps, butterfly punch (no name), and pearls by Kaiser Crafts.

 Here's a close-up.....

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

My Entry for the BFC 2012 Stamp Aloha Cardmaking Contest

Hello, hello dear crafty friends.

Today, I want to share this easel card I made and entered recently for the Ben Franklin Crafts "2012 Stamp Aloha Card Contest."  We had to use an image by either Sister Stamps, Dandelion Design, or Rubber Stamp Plantation.   I chose "Mariko" by Sister Stamps because she's one of my faves and I just LOVE her pose.  So "kawaii" (cute).

For this card, I used the "Floral Circle" die by Memory Box, washi paper including Mariko's kimono which I paper-pieced, Copics, Spellbinder dies, laser cut sentiment from Island Scrapbooking, flowers by  Wild Orchid and All Natural Accent, leaf die by Spellbinder, leaf punch by Punch Bunch, Butterfly punch by Martha Stewart, distress ink, pearls by Kaiser Crafts, ribbon, and a bead charm that I made.

Here's a close-up of the flowers I couldn't resist splashing on.....

And another close-up.....

A  HUGE CONGRATS to all the winners.  It's amazing what they and everyone else created.  They totally inspire me.

"Take Time to Enjoy Life's Simple Blessings"

Hi there Peeps!   Time for another post.   Time is just passing me by much too quickly, can't seem to keep up.

Today, I'd like to share this card I made for Cindy for the September Secret Sister Swap.  I was so happy when I received an email from Kris telling me that I was her Secret Sister.  For this card I used my Sarah Kay image called "Isabelle with Puppy Coco".  Sarah Kay is one of my favorite brand of stamps because they are all so sweet.  I inked it up with Copic.   Also, used Spellbinder dies, edge punch by Stampin' Up, embossing folder by Cuttlebug, leaf punch by EK, white flower and ribbon by Offray, pink flowers by All Natural Accents, DP from my collection, pearls by Kaiser Crafts, bead charm which I made, AND the sentiment is one of my all-time faves which I believe I got at a garage sale.  I think it's very inspiring and is a keeper for sure.
Here's a close-up of the flowers.  I find it hard to make cards without flowers.   LOL.
