Cely's 1st Blogaversary Blog Hop Sweetened with Candy

Aloha and welcome to Cely’s 1st blogaversary hop!  Hawaii Paper Party just turned ONE! You should’ve gotten here from Carri's blog.  If you are just tuning in and would like to start at the beginning, head on over to Cely’s blog to start hopping!

The theme of this hop is PINK, since it is Cely’s favorite color. We’ve all created some cute pink projects along the way.  Don’t forget to visit, follow, and leave a comment on each post along the way and head on back over to Cely’s blog so you can win the GRAND PRIZE blog candy!

Now, on to my project.    Cely is such a cool, creative, and inspiring "cookie," so I thought this card would be perfect for her.   "Cookie Emma" and the stool by CC Designs were inked up with Copics.  The sentiment is by Dandelion Designs.  Since the image of Cookie Emma has only one cookie in her left hand, I paper-pieced a cookie to put in her right hand to fit the sentiment.  Other supplies I used were Spellbinder dies, DP from my "collection," flourish from sweet Dora, flowers by All Natural Accents from Photo Craft on Oahu, corner accent sticker by Studio 122, and Distress Ink.

I want to add more sweetness to Cely's blog hop so I'm adding a candy giveaway to one lucky winner by random drawing.  For a chance to win these 2 sweet stamp sets, you must do the following:
1)   Be a follower of my blog if you aren't one already.  You must follow publicly.
2)   Leave a comment telling me you are a new or existing follower AND what is one of your favorite brand of stamps.
3)   One entry per person please....thank you.  :-)

The deadline to enter is SUNDAY, MAY 6, 2012 at 10:00 P.M. (Hawaii Standard Time).  The winner will be announced either that night or on 5/7/12.

Hop on over to Cyndi’s blog next!

Here is a list of all the stops, just in case you lose yourway:

Thanks for hopping along and celebrating Cely's 1st Blogaversary.    Be sure to hop on back to my blog on 5/7/12 to see if you are the lucky winner of my candy.   Toodles and Have a Scrap Happy Day.

A Card for My April Secret Sister Swap

Happy Monday Peeps.   Hope your week is off to a good start.
Here's the card I made for  Sheila with my new Sarah Kay stamp that I got during my recent trip to Oahu.   The image is called "Zoe Gazing at a Butterfly."  Can you see it on Zoe's toe?  I inked her up with Copics and dazzled the sides with a leaf die and flourish by Cheery Lynn from J's Knicknacks, flowers by All Natural Accents from Photo Craft, and ribbon by Offray.   I made the bead "charm."    Also, used Spellbinder dies and DP from my fast-growing "collection."

 Here's a close-up.....

Sunflower...Makes Me Smile

It's Aloha Friday, no work till Monday, do do be dooo, do do be do be do be do be dooo.   Woo-hoo.  OK, I know all you people in Hawaii know that song.   They always play it on the radio on Fridays.  I bet this song will be playing in your head now.....hee-hee.....it's playing in mine.

When I was on Oahu last week, I got to squeeze in some craft shopping and during the VERY SHORT time I was at Cute Stuff, I heard someone call my name in a questioning tone.  I turned and it was my calabash cuz, Jeri.  OMG, what a surprise.   And she had just bought this sunflower die by Cheery Lynn for me.   Isn't she so thoughtful?  Thanks Jeri.   I knew immediately what I'd do with it thinking it would go perfectly with the flower pot dies by Spellbinder that I got from Island Scrapbooking.  So I sent this card to her with a couple of RAKs.  Can you see the tag hanging from the flower?  It's actually a jewelry tag that I stamped with this itty-bitty "thank you" stamp.  Then added some teeny-tiny flower stickers.

Other supplies:  Picot Edge Circle die by Spellbinder, leaf die by Cheery Lynn from
J's Knicknacks (actually, there are 3 leaves all attached but I cut them for this card) , DP by K & Co., flower stem is a lace by Creez Decorez that I got at a garage sale (what a deal), bee brad by Eyelit Outlet, butterfly punch by Martha Stewart, Distress ink, and pearls by Kaiser Crafts.

Thanks for stopping by.   Hope you all have a WONDERFUL and crafty weekend.

Happy Easter to My Nieces

Happy Thursday Peeps!    This is a scheduled post.

Today I want to share this card that I made for my two nieces for Easter.  I made two identical cards to go along with their Easter baskets (actually a bunny bag for each).  Aside from the usual candy, I filled their bags with girly stuff like glitter nail polish, pretty itty bitty stickers for their nails, activity books, etc.   Sure miss all that fun stuff when our boys for little.   Of course, they got things like Transformer toys, water guns, Whoopee cushions, etc.

Here's Akemi by Sister Stamps introducing Daba to Bunny.  I "designed" her kimono with sakura (cherry blossom) stickers.

Other supplies:  Copics, Spellbinder dies, Distress Ink, branch die by Memory Box, embossing follder by Cuttlebug, egg and butterfly punch by Martha Stewart, grass punch by Viva Las Vegasstamp, sentiment by Studio G, ribbon by Offray, cherry blossom stickers by Mind Wave (got them in Japan), and pearl by Kaiser Craft.

"Hoppy Easter" Favors

Hope you all had a relaxing and funfilled weekend.  Can't believe it's Sunday night already.

We just returned from a family dinner at the Imiloa Sky Garden Restaurant.  Ummm, their buffet is always so yummilicious.  I enjoyed the Salt and Pepper Shrimp, Prime Rib, mashed potatoes, etc.   It was a little bittersweet as this was a dinner for our son and his girlfriend who will be moving to Oahu.  Since our son was sick the last time we went to this restaurant, we made sure he got to grind there before leaving.  And RATS, I brought my camera and forgot to take pictures of the food.   Guess I was just too hungry.   Had to satisfy my growling tummy.

Of course I wanted to make favors for tonight's dinner but rather than focus on a "farewell" theme (too sad), I chose an Easter theme.

Using the French Fry die, I created this little scene featuring Daba by Sister Stamps in the yard hiding some eggs.  He's getting ready for the Easter egg hunt.

And here's all 5.  I didn't make one for me, not necessary.  :-)

Other Supplies:  Grass, butterfly, and egg punches by Martha Stewart, Copics, and Hoppy Easter stamp by Savvy Stamps.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you all have a super great week.
