Suzi with Bunny

Hi Everyone!   Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.  After cleaning house, I spent most of my time in my craft cave.  For me, that's the best way to spend the weekend.  LOL

Sharing with you today is a card using another image by Whimsy Stamps (Wee Stamps).  This image is called "Suzi with Bunny" which I inked up with Copics.   I love to create scenes so I added a few dies:  "Resting Birds", Leafy Branch" and "Fresh Cut Grass" by Memory Box.   Also, "Evanston Birdhouse by Poppy Stamps.  All are from Island Scrapbooking.

Hope you enjoyed this CAS card.   Have a great week and make each day a SCRAP HAPPY DAY. Toodles.

Grillin' Burgers with Kiyoko

Hey there everyone!  Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

A few days ago, I was so happy to have met Cindy of Crafting in Waikiki while she was here on the Big Island.   We initially met in blog land and it was so nice to have met her in person.  She's super nice.

Last week, I purchased the landscape die set by Mama Elephant from Island Scrapbooking to create the hills and clouds as shown on this card.  OK, I know clouds are supposed to be white but with card making, its anything goes....right?  Since I couldn't resist using the checkered lavender and white DP to match the Kiyoko's kimono (color-wise), I thought the white clouds wouldn't stand out so I made blue clouds.  LOL.

For another sample using this cool landscape die set, hop over to the Island Scrapbooking  blog to see a picture of a card that Don made and a pix of the die.

To create this fun summer grillin' scene, I used Kiyoko by Sister Stamps, inked her up with Copics and paper-pieced her kimono with washi paper.  In the actual image, she is holding 2 sparklers, one in each hand.  I clipped off the sparklers and replaced them with a tong and spatula from the "Grill Master" die by Memory Box. This die comes with an apron and oven mitt too.  Do you see the oven mitt hanging on the table?   I made a hook for it using an itty-bitty piece of the smoke from the grill die and taped it to the table. Then added a single-strand of embroidery thread to create a loop for the oven mitt to hang onto the hook.

Other fun ingredients for this card:
"Party Grill" die by Memory Box
"Baby Kittens" die by Poppy Stamps
"Aston Side Table" die by Poppy Stamps
Sun die by Lawn Fawn "Spring Showers" set
And I made my own plate and burgers

All of the dies and washi paper are from Island Scrapbooking.

Hope you enjoyed this fun card.  If you're in Hilo and would like to see this card "in real life," stop by Island Scrapbooking.

"Sweet Blossom" Birthday Card

Earlier this week, we celebrated another co-workers birthday.  She is very hard-working, kind-hearted, and always going above and beyond her call of duty.   Here's the card I made for her which we all signed with sweet wishes.

For this card, I inked "Sweet Blossom" by Wee Stamps with Copics.  You guessed it, I couldn't resist adding Fran-tage from Ben Franklin Crafts.   The "Kensington Border" die by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking is one of the newest dies I added to my ever-growing collection, just can't have enough....LOL.   Are you like me???   I topped off this die cut by sticking some flat-back pearls.  To the right, I used the Baby's Breath Flower Kit die by Cheery Lynn and a butterfly glass pebble embellie.  Both are from two super-duper crafty and talented bloggie friends.   THANK YOU!  And lastly, the laser cut sentiment is from Island Scrapbooking.

Here's a close up....

I'm Here For You

A very dear friend of mine wasn't feel well recently so I made this card for her to cheer her up.   I'm so happy it gave her a lift and brightened her day.  YAY!!!

The image is by LOTV (Lili of the Valley).  Don't you just LOVE this?  Too cute.  :-)  I inked it up with Copics, added  a yellow border using a punch by Martha Stewart and tied all the colors together with a narrow strip of multi-colored stripe DP.    I also used the "Garden Pots" and "Fairy Flower" dies by Memory Box and sentiment by Lawn Fawn, all from Island Scrapbooking.

Thanks for stopping by and if you live in Hawaii, hope you get tomorrow off for the Kam Day holiday.  Woo-hoo.....my craft cave is calling me.
