Hoot-Hoot

Meet Mr. Owl.  Isn't he cool with his eyeglasses?  The image didn't come with it but when my cuz gave me a  card with a chick wearing glasses, I couldn't resist getting the dies to give Mr. Owl some character.    For a little added dimension, I adhered a tiny little puffy heart sticker over the heart on the image.

Another Sweet B/D Gift

Happy Sunday Peeps!
I want to share this sweet card that my dear friend sent to me. Turquoise and pink is actually one of my favorite color combo. And anything Hello Kitty is ALWAYS CUTE.   LOVE IT!!!

Here's the adorable die and Embosslit she sent.  SWEET!!!!

And yummy goodies for my after-meal treat.......

And some enlightening booklets......
Thank you VERY MUCH!!!!

I was also surprised at work last week when my co-worker friends got a lot of goodies to celebrate my b/d. We all enjoyed the Peach Cake and manju (filled with Sweet Potato or Tsubushi An).  And one of our staff comes to our office from Oahu once a week and she brought Zip Pak bentos and some YUMMY Apple and Chocolate Napples (turnovers) from Zippy's for everyone.  She's awesome.  The office "lights up" whenever she's here.   I practically rolled out of the office that day after all that good food.  In fact, I had to save the Somen Salad that one of the awesome ladies also gave me for the next day.  THANK YOU EVERYONE.  YOU ALL MADE MY B/D A VERY, VERY SPECIAL ONE AND I TRULY APPRECIATE IT.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a super week.  Toodles!

Under the Stars Bear

I couldn't resist this cute little bear image by Kitty Bee Designs from Ben Franklin Crafts.  What a cutie huh? To create a little scene, I added a couple of hills of grass and to add dimension, I used two different shades of green, and some grass.  To match the glittered flowers on the DP, I added Stickles to the pink flower.   The image came with 3 stars but I used my star dies by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking  and adhered it over the stars on the image.

A Sweet and Awesome B/D Gift from Jenny

As some of you may know, I celebrated my 39th birthday again (yah right, I wish) over the weekend.  I was so excited to have received this cool gift from Jenny that I had to share it on my blog.  These stack of "books" have drawers with pretty flower knobs.  She has an "eye" for selecting the perfect DPs, dies, and colors.  Check out her blog too and see all of the amazing creations she's made.   You'll be very inspired.

Here's the front view.....

And she put some sweet embellies in the drawers......
THANK YOU, THANK YOU JENNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a great weekend, got to craft, and one of our son's made dinner (Shrimp Tempura-the kind from Costco, really cheap and ono, sushi, steaks on the grill, Salisbury Steak....fancy name for Hamburger Steak...LOL.  For dessert,  Dreamsicle Cake, Custard Pie, mochi from Two Ladies Kitchen, and Sweet Potato Manju).  Nice and simple, just as I wanted it.)

Thanks for stopping by.   Have a Scrap Happy Day!

Spring is in the Air

This past weekend, hubby and I went to Kona.  While shopping at one of the stores (maybe I better not mention which one but will say it wasn't a dept. store or supermarket), I saw the cutest thing.  While waiting for hubby in one of the aisles, a man came around the corner  looking downward behind him calling, "Come on, come, come."   Then this little "animal" came happily trotting along following his master. I froze for a moment and my eyes popped.  I was thinking, 'Whoa, what is that????? It's not dog, humm, could it be a funny looking dog, nah, that's no dog."   I asked, "Oh, is that a lamb?"  He replied with a smile, "Yes."   OMG, it was only about a foot tall, all black, and just the cutest little thing.  I wish I took a picture.  I wonder if it's name was "Baa-baa."   Get it?  Hee-hee.

OK, on to my card.  Now that we're in the midst of Spring, I created this card and splashed on a few flowers.

"Hunny Bear"

This past weekend was a great one, crafting, crafting, crafting, and listening to GOOD music on pandora.com which my awesome friend at work told me about.  Many of you may have heard of it and I'm so happy she told me about it.  Boy was I estatic!  There were soooooo many songs I pretty much forgot about and hearing them again was like being on Cloud 9.

So all that cool music got my mojo in gear.   I created this sweet card using one of my several Kitty Bee Designs images I recently bought at Ben Franklin Crafts.  To give this card some dimension, I applied bee brads by Eyelit Outlet over the bees on the image.   Also, tiny heart stickers by Sticko over the heart image.
It paid to dig thru my stash of "stuff" as I found a spool of pearls by Heritage Trimming which must be over 20 years old.   I  thought I'd never use it again but brought it "back to life" by gluing it to the border around the image.

Other fun ingredients for this card:
DP by Bo Bunny and scrap for pennants
Doily
Spellbinder dies
Copics
Flower punches on pennants by EK
Sentiment by Craft Lounge
Pearl trimming by Heritage Trimming
Flowers by Prima
Stickles
Butterfly punch by Martha Stewart
Distress ink
Pearl adhesive by Kaiser Craft
Jewelry spacers

Here's close-up....

And a close-up of the pennants.  I used jewelry spacers between the flower and pearl for added dimension.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - Challenge 264 - Butterfly Kisses

The Sisterhood of Crafters - Animal Antics
Papertake Weekly - BINGO (Glitter, die cut, and blooms).   I used Stickles on the bears wings for glitter.
Creative Inspiration - Challenge 209 - Anything Goes plus an option of hearts (I added hearts on the bear's antenna)

Thanks so much for visiting.   HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!!!  Hugs!
