"Friends" - My Dandelion Design Card Entry

Holy cow, it's raining cats and dogs.  Need to blast the volume so I can hear the singers on The Voice. LOL.

Sharing with you today is my entry for the Dandelion Design Contest.   I love creating scenes.  For this card, I used these kawai'i (cute) girls from the Friends Set (CL-8) and paper-pieced their kimonos.  The sentiment is also from this set.   I added the bridge and umbrella from the Keiko Set (CL-11).  And of course, my favorite little poochie, also by Dandelion Designs.   These stamps were purchased from Ben Franklin Crafts.

Other fun products used:
Cloud and bamboo dies by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking
Rock stamp by Hero Arts
Copics
Scallop punch by EK
Pearls by Kaiser Crafts

Kimie with Bunny Friends and Happy Harumi

The first time I set eyes on this Easter image by Sister Stamps, I was in awe.   Oh, Kimie is so dang cute and I love her name.

Here's a card that I made for Michele at Island Scrapbooking to use a a sample in her store.  Just dropped it off this afternoon.   You can find just about everything on this card in her store including the laser cut grass.  I love grass of all kinds.....oh, but not the pakalolo kine.  Eeeeek, hee-hee.

And here's a little "thank you" for Michele too.  I wrapped cardstock around a big Ghirardelli candy bar. Rats, should've taken a pix of that candy too.   She loves chocolate.
This cutie's name is Harumi by Sister Stamps.  I used the grass die by Impression Obsession and grass punch by Martha Stewart.   Also, "Arigato" laser die cut by Island Scrapbooking.   Oh, see those itty-bitty flowers?  That's from the "Wildflower Patch" die by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking too.

Thanks for stopping by and have a super crafty weekend.   TGIF!

Kicking Back on a Sunny Spring Day

Now that Spring is here, I thought I'd create a "Springy" scene using this sweet image by LOTV (Lili of the Valley).  I inked it up with Copics and wanted the focus on this little bear by creating a frame using my Spellbinder dies.   Then created a grassy lawn using grass punch by Martha Stewart, grass die by Impression Obsessions, and "Daisy Rock" stamp by Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  Oh, I love this stamp.

Other products used:
"Evanston Birdhouse"  and "Resting Birds" dies by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking
Sun die by Hero Arts
Butterfly punch by Martha Stewart
DP's from stash
Pearls by Kaiser Crafts

Ohhhh, time to watch The Voice.   Gotta go.  Thanks for stopping by.   Till next time, HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY.

Favors for My Co-Worker's B/D and Yummy Food Pix

As mentioned in my last post, here's a pix of one of the favors I made for my co-worker's birthday.   Rats, I made 7 of these in an assortment of colors; blue, teal, purple, and hot pink and forgot to take a pix of all of them together.  It wasn't until last night when I attempted to post this that I realized it.   Luckily, one of my co-workers displays all of the favors I've made to-date on desk shelf so I took a pix of hers this morning.

Since some of my office buddies are trying to eat healthy, I decided to fill a little plastic bag with Trail Mix.  I felt it needed some color, so I added some M & M Pretzel candy.    Well, that's not very healthy but let's just say, it's now a "balanced" snack.  LOL.

Well, our birthday girl said she would like some Maple Bacon Donuts rather than a cake so I got these from Hilo Bake Co.   Is your mouth watering?    I think our birthday girl could grind this entire box and not put on an ounce.

I really feel fortunate to work for a fantastic firm.  They treat us to quarterly luncheons and last week we dined at Hilo Bay Cafe (formerly Nihon Restaurant).  OMGosh, they renovated the restaurant so beautifully and what a great atmosphere with a spectacular view of Hilo Bay.

One of my co-workers ordered the Lime Ade and just about all of us "had to" try it too.   Ummmm, deeeelish!!!   Oh, it's a non-alcoholic drink.....thought I'd better mention that.  :-)

I ordered the Chicken Curry Pot Pie.    Awesome!!!  The crust is light and flaky.  Ummmm. I could go for another one right now.

One of my co-worker's ordered the Chirazushi.....

For dessert, I ordered Tiramusu.   I only had it once before many years ago at another restaurant.  I remembered it was soooooo sweet, like eating straight sugar so I was quite hesitant in ordering it again.   I asked the waitress if theirs was really sweet and she said it's not and they serve theirs in a glass cup.  OK, that sounded good.   No regrets, it was GREAT.

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY.

Celebrating Another Birthday in the Office

Sharing with you today is a card I made for another one of my sweet co-workers.  This image of Misaki by Sister Stamps fits the birthday girl so perfectly because she's always cheerful, spunky, smiley, and the life-of-the-party kinda gal.  Also, one of the most kindest, thoughtful, and generous person I know.  Seriously, she brightens our day as soon as she walks into the office with her big smile.

Here's a close-up of the sakura....

Washi paper
Large scallop die which I bought from a crafty bloggie friend.
Copics
Glittered leaves laser cuts by and from Island Scrapbooking
Bakers twine from Ben Franklin Crafts
Small scallop punch by Stampin' Up
Distress Ink
Sentiment by Amy R. Stamps
Woodland Branch die by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking
Ribbon
Charm - which I made
Grass stamp from Viva Las Vegasstamp

I also made favors but will post it a wee bit later so I can stretch out my postings....LOL.

A Birthday Card for a Sweet Co-Worker, Favors, and Happy Mail

Last Friday was one of my co-workers birthday but since she took the day off, we had a little celebration yesterday.  In the past, whoever picked up the cake had to really think hmmmmm, what kind of cake would the birthday person like then hope he/she liked what we chose.  So now, we just ask the birthday person, "What would you like?"  Yummy choice, we had quiche from Hilo Bake Co.  yesterday and it was  deeeeelicious.

Here's the card I made for her.  I inked up Minako by Sister Stamps with Copic.  Thought I'd keep the Asian theme using washi paper, Woodland branch die by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking, sakura stickers from Japan, butterfly punch,  cupcake sticker by Sticko from Ben Franklin Crafts, "Happy Birthday" laser cut by and from Island Scrapbook, and a gold sakura on Minako's hair from a crafty friend.

And here are the little favors I made using "Lip & Tape Bags" from Ben Franklin Crafts, filled them with yummy Peanut Butter M & M's, and added a little tag.  Easy peasy.

And lookie here.   These goodies are  from my dear bloggie friend, Colleen.  She always sends me sweet surprises in the mail.

Behind the Mrs. Fields box were these Hello Kitty sticky notes and sticky pads.   Sooo cute.   THANK YOU SO MUCH COLLEEN.  You sure brightened my day.

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY.

Happy Girl's Day

Happy Girl's Day Peeps!  Did you have some mochi today?

I actually made these tags by Sister Stamps over the holidays to share some "round" mochi with my co-workers but just ran out of time.   Rats.  So I thought I'd have to wait until next New Years to use them.   Then the light bulb went on.  Yah, I should make some mochi for Girl's Day instead.

Here's a pix of Mieko for the girls and Hideo for the guy in our office.  I'm so glad Denise created an image of a little boy eating mochi too.  She and Jenny think of everything.

Here are the 7 tags...

Hmmm, I was stumped trying to find a recipe to make "round" mochi balls like they do in Japan so instead I decided to made Cascaron. YAH!!! Hee-hee.  Got the recipe from my co-worker.   It has mochiko, coconut flakes, sugar, and coconut milk.  I poked 6 inch wooden skewers thru the Cascaron and tied the tag with baker's twine.   Easy peasy and it was ono.  Oops, sorry, this is not a very good pix.

Okie dokie, enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by.
