Mini Hand Sanitizer Holders from Cindy - Proceeds go to the American Cancer Society

My bloggie friend Cindy is so sweet and thoughtful.  She designed these awesome mini hand sanitizer holders and donated them to the American Cancer Society.   They will have a table at a craft fair on Nov. 7.   Please send me an email if you'd like the address.

She actually flew in from Oahu to Hilo to bring her crafty donation.....and shop.  Ohhhh, I was so surprised to receive some super yummy malasadas from Leonard's Bakery too.   When I showed them to my hubby, he said, "HO, WHERE YOU GOT THAT FROM????" and gobbled up a couple. We really enjoyed them.    So delicious.   THANK YOU SO MUCH CINDY!!!!

Thanks for stopping by.

"Strawberry Mouse" Cards for the American Cancer Society

OMG, the fair is less than 2 weeks away (Nov. 7) and I still have a bunch of things to share with you so I'm doubling up my post.

Must say, this is one of my favorite images by Whimsy Stamps.  This cutie patootie is "Strawberry Mouse" which I inked up with Copics.  I used the "Stitched Borders 2" die by Pretty Pink Posh and added Baker's Twine.

I made a bunch of cards in different designs and decided to have them sold as a set rather than individually.  Each set will be identical.   I only made one set of each design so if you see a set you like best to go to the fair early....hint, hint.   If you want the address and time, just send me an email. Oh, the inside is blank so this is great for any occasion.

Here's a CAS set with one of my favorite kanji character by Hero Arts.   The washi paper is from Japan from a prior trip.  This set is also blank inside.

Stay tuned for more things I'll be donating.

Thanks for stopping by.

Post It Note Pad Holders - Proceeds to the American Cancer Society

Hope you're all enjoying the weekend and staying dry.  OMG, we sure had a LOT of thunder and lightning last night thanks to remnants of Tropical Storm Nora.   Glad she's moving away.  Aloha oi Nora.   LOL.

Sharing with you today are some Post It note pad holders which I dressed up with this sweet image from the Teeny Weeny Garden set by Dandelion Design.  Coloring was really fast as the image is small.  The mini pens were "treasures" I found at Target.  They're hard to find so I felt super lucky to have found them.  As the saying goes, "Being in the right place at the right time."

These will be donated to the table designated for the American Cancer Society at a craft fair which will be held on Saturday, November 7.   (See previous post).

If you love orchids, here are some with DPs by Island Paperie from Island Scrapbooking.  Kept these simple to showcase the pretty flowers.

Stay tuned as I will be posting more of my crafty donations soon.

Till then, toodles and thank you for stopping by.

Hi there peeps!   The most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner, CHRISTMAS! September Secret Sister Swap

Heeey Peeps!  Hope you're all enjoying the weekend.  Hope to spend my day getting my craft room organized again.   I want to share the card I made for Leanne for the September Secret Sister Swap.  I was her secret sister.

Using the "Shake It" shaker card pouches makes it sooooo easy peasy to make a shaker card.  I got them from Island Scrapbooking and totally LOVE IT.  I inked "Autumn Ted" by CC Designs with Copics.   I guess this image could be for Halloween or Thanksgiving.  Well, since I'm really not big on Halloween, I stamped my "gobble gobble" sentiment to make it a Thanksgiving theme even though I don't have a turkey on my card.   LOL.   I also used the "French Cut Grass" die by Poppy Stamps, DP by Bo Bunny, sequins, banner die from Tab It Kit, and flower by Baby's Breath Flower Kit by Cheery Lynn.

Also sent her a couple of dies.

Here's the pretty card I received from Jayne who was my secret sister.  Love the fall theme and design.

Jayne also sent me some awesome RAK which I'll sure have fun using.  THANK YOU JAYNE.

Okie dokie, enjoy the weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Mom!

This past weekend we had a small family luncheon at Tadashi's in the Pearl Kai Shopping Center on Oahu to celebrate my mom birthday.  It was fun and the food was GREAT.   Mom was smiling ear-to-ear.   LOL.   Wanting to keep her card Asian-themed, I whipped up this shaker card for her.   So happy she loved it.  I inked "Mariko" by Sister Stamps with Copics, added Cherry Blossom flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, leaves (punch) by EK, and laser cut sentiment from Island Scrapbooking. For the background, I used a Cherry Blossom embossing folder by Cuttlebug and washi paper from Japan for the shaker.

Favors was a must, so I made these treat boxes (Box w/Scallop Flap & Flowers by Sizzix) and filled each with 2 individually wrapped Chocolate-dipped  Shortbread Cookies.  My brain has been in overload mode lately causing my mojo to skip town so I made designed the boxes similar to a set I made a while ago.  I dabbed some Distress Ink over the "Texture Mesh" stencil by Memory Box, then topped it off with sunflowers, and a little butterfly punched with glitter paper.

Ohhhh, yummy.....we all enjoyed the Peach Barvarian cake from Zippy's.  Very light, moist, and not too sweet.

Hubby and I had planned one eating some malasadas from Leonard's Bakery but holy cow, at 8:15 in the morning, the small parking lot was full with a few cars waiting to get in.  Plus a crowd of people waiting outside to get in and they were already open.  Well, so much for that plan and bring home some onolicious malasadas.   As always, we practically flew all over the place to get things done.  Good thing lunch was at 11:00.  We were famished so we started off with some sushi.  On top is the Spider Roll which has I believe deep-fried Soft Shell Crab in it.   Oh, hubby and family can have that. Below is the California Roll.  YUM!!!

Hubby and I were planning to share the "Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab Salad" but the waiter was so nice to serve it in 2 separate bowls.    Oh, I gave my crab to my hubby.   Hee-hee.  This was one of the best salad I ever had.  The Miso Dressing must've had a bit of chili pepper in it which was awesome.

Hubby and I shared the Tempura dish and Misoyaki Butterfish.

My brother ordered the Chicken Katsu.

I didn't take pix of everyone else's lunch but we all agree that we MUST go back to Tadashi's again. We highly recommend it.

The night before, hubby and I went to Shirokiya in the Ala Moana Shopping Center and shared this deeeeeelicious Korean Shaved Ice.   Oh, so refreshing.

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY.

A Micey Birthday Card

Yup, a lot of sweet birthdays this time of the year.  Our youngest son's girlfriend just celebrated her birthday and here's the card I made for her.    Kept it a bit simple by inking this Penny Black image (Micey Day set) with Copics.   They were super fast to color since the mice are tiny.  :-)  Having fun with sequins so I had to add a few on for some sparkle.  Also used "Stitched Country Border" die by Memory Box, "Flags" die by QuicKutz, rhinestones and flat-back pearls.

Thanks for poppin' in for a visit.   Wishing you a scrap happy day.
