A Happy Birthday Card

I can't believe the weekend is just about over.  Hope you all  had a fabulous one.  It was a fun one for me.  My dear friend took me out to lunch for my b/d which was last month.  She's such a busy, busy woman so told her no rush.  We went to 1-Plus-1 Cafe and enjoyed our girly chat for 2 hours.  I think we could've talked all day just catching up on things.  Me being me, I'm so chicken to try something new for fear it might be junk.  Well she knows I LOVE noodles and told me the Chow Funn was really ono.  Though I had my mind set on their Special Noodle Soup (my Steady-Eddie thing to order), I decided to try the Chow Funn.  She was right....YUMM-O.

Speaking about birthdays, here's a card I made for another dear friend.   I've been wanting to make a card with the swirly bling-bling and thought it would be perfect to add it to her card.  To add some dimension to this image that came with a balloon, I cut it off and used my balloon die by C.C. Designs, and twine.  I poked a hole above and below the kitty's paw to make it look like he was holding the "string."

Fun items used for this card:
DPs by Doodlebug and stash
Rhinestone Crystals by Prima from Island Scrapbooking
Cloud dies by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking
Edge punch by EK
Flowers by Prima
Butterfly punch by Martha Stewart
Happy Birthday sentiment by Amy R Stamps
Spellbinder die used for sentiment
Button from stash
Leaf punch by Martha Stewart

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Craft your Passion Challenge - "Party Animals"
Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge - "3 of something, 2 of anything, and 1 of whatever you want".  (I used 3 stems of leaves, 2 butterflies, and 1 cat)
One Stop Craft Challenge - "Challenge 229 - Anything Goes"
Wags 'n Whiskers - "Challenge 104 - Anything Goes"
Charisma Cardz Challenge - "Challenge 19 - No Digis Allowed"
Delightful Challenges - "BINGO"  (I chose patterned paper, punches/die cuts, and flowers)
Fab 'n Funky Challenge - "Your Favorite Embellishment"  (My fave on this card is the swirly bling)

Thanks for stopping by.   Have a super great week.

The weekends always seem to go by so fast. I am glad that you had a good time having lunch with a dear friend for your belated b-day. It's always nice to be able to catch up with good friends while enjoying some onolicious food. I am so proud of you for trying some thing new on the menu. I'm so happy that you liked the chow funn. I love chow funn. Did you order it wet or dry?

The card that you made for one of your dear friends turned out so cute. I am sure that receiving the card from you made her b-day extra special. Your idea of having the kitty hold the string of the balloon is just too clever. The swirly bling adds the perfect finishing touch to your fab card. :)

Pretty, pretty card. Great selection of papers and embellies. The bling and the flowers are lovely details. I love how you have made the string go through Kitty's hand. That is such a playful touch. Thanks for joining our Party Animal challenge at Craft your Passion. I hope we see you again soon.
