Exciting News and a Birthday Card featuring Otsu by Sister Stamps

Hello, hello peeps. Did you hear?   Sister Stamps is celebrating their 2nd anniversary!  Where did the time go?   As the saying goes, "Time flies when you're having fun."  I'd like to send  HUGE CONGRATS to Jenny and Denise, and I wish them continued success on their fabulous, adorable, cute, sweet, (need I say more?) line of stamps.  They are 2 fantastic, gifted and talented ladies who never cease to amaze me.

I can't tell you how thrilled and excited (flips and cartwheels) I am to be a Guest Designer for Sister Stamps Release 15.  When I first set eyes on these darling cuties, I just couldn't wait to ink them up.  My mojo was fueled with excitement and smoking with ideas.   For starters, here's precious Otsu playing in a field of grass with a little gift that I paper-pieced.

And here's a pix of the 4 darling cuties from Release 15.  Don't ya think they're out-of-this-world sweet and adorable?
Please hop on over to the following blogs and see what these amazing and talented ladies created:

Freedom

Time seems to be ticking away at lightning speed lately.  Wish I could put on the brakes.   LOL.  Can you believe half the year is just about gone???  Wowie, need to start focusing on Christmas.  :-)

Putting up a quickie post today as my laundry is calling out to me...ugh.

With the 4th of July just around the corner, I whipped up this card today using a Kitty Bee image called "I Heart Bear" from Ben Franklin Crafts.   I love bear images especially those that look cute and cuddly like this one.  To fit the theme, I printed "U.S.A." from my computer, punched it out with my heart punch, and glued it to the red heart.   Can you see the square glass tile with the red star and "freedom" below it?   I've had those glass tiles for some time now and finally got to use it.  Got them at Ben Franklin Crafts.  They're really neat!

Other fun "ingredients" used:
DP - blue and white dots/checks by Pebbles from Ben Franklin Crafts
DP - Red dots by Doodlebug from Island Scrapbooking
Copics
Spellbinder dies
Edge punch by EK
"Precious Stars" die by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking

DREAM

I'm watching The Voice as I put up this post.   Those of you in the continental U.S. already know who the winner is but here in Hawaii we are several hours behind.   I'm cheering for Danielle to win....crossing my fingers and toes.   LOL

I thought this sentiment pretty much fits the challenge as contestants sang their hearts out to make their dream come true.

To give the flowers dimension, I used a craft molding mat and pressed the center of the flower using a stylus. Here's an angle shot showing the raised petals.  It sure makes the flowers look real.

A Happy Mousy Day

What is it with mice?   In cartoons and crafting, they are so cute and adorable.   But in real life, they freak us out...LOL.  OMG, I remember when I was living on my own in my early 20's, I rented a little cottage-like place.   One day, I spotted a tiny mouse in the kitchen.   I flipped out, thinking 'AHHHHH, WHOA, gotta catch that sucker.'   So I bought a mouse trap and set it up that evening.  In the middle of the night I heard a loud SNAP.  Whoa, I caught it but didn't dare get close to it even though it was a "goner."  Luckily, my hubby (boyfriend then) came over the next day and got rid of it for me.  True love...hee-hee.    He asked,  "What kind of bait did you use?   I replied, "Cheese" and he laughed.  I asked, "What's so funny?"   He laughingly asked, "Why did you use cheese?"   I answered, "Because that's what I learned from watching cartoons."   Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.  Good one.

Can you see the little mice on this image?  You may have to zoom in to see the "cute" little creatures.
