Meet Yumi

Happy Aloha Friday Peeps!  Hope you have a fun and exciting weekend up ahead.

I was so excited to have received my Yumi and Fumi stamps so quickly.  WOW, talk about speedy service. I eagerly inked up "Yumi Peace Sign" and created this Mother's Day card.  Using washi paper that I bought in Japan, I paper pieced Yumi's kimono.  Doesn't she look happy all dressed up?  I think she's ready to go Bon dancing.

And here's a peek inside.  I fussy cut a few flowers from the same washi paper used for Yumi's kimono.
Fun ingredients for this card:
Copics
Rounded tag die by Sizzix from Ben Franklin Crafts
"Gentle Leaf" die by Poppy Stamps from Island Scrapbooking
Flower die by C.C. Design, a gift from my crafty cuz
Sentiment by Hero Arts
Pearls by Kaiser Crafts
Butterfly from my blog pal, Dora  (please visit her blog, she's awesome)

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
2 Sisters Challenge - Challenge 42 - Bingo Bash (Pearls, Image, and Sentiment)
Perfect Sentiment Challenge - PSC77 - Make It Feminine
Totally Papercrafts Friday Challenges - Challenge 165 - Don't Be Square-Use a Shaped Card
Fussy and Fancy Challenge - Challenge 88 - Anything Goes
Charisma Cardz - Challenge 17 - Shaped Cards
Yumi and Fumi Handmade - Challenge 15 - Shaped Card for Mom
Little Miss Muffet Challenge - Challenge 60 - Pieced Off

Thanks for popping in for a visit.  Hope you found some inspiration.  Have a Scrap Happy Day.

Things have been pretty busy on my end and I have not been able to visit blogs like I usually do. I noticed that I missed out on some fun posts and creative cards. I especially like the Hello Kitty card that you posted in one of your posts. :) I really like your Yumi card too. Yumi's kimono is beautiful. I am sure that your mom will feel very honored to receive the card from you for Mother's Day. Have a fab weekend and a crafty one too.

Very sweet Mothers Day card... lucky, lucky mom! I am always amazed when I see your washi pieced kimonos, they always look fabulous. Gotta try it one day, but first gotta find washi with print tiny enough...
p.s. fussy cut washi flowers are such a neat idea!
