Happy Easter and a Whole Lotta Yummy Food Pix

Hello Peeps!!!  Hope you all had a fabulous Valentine's Day spent with your loved ones.

Today I want to share this Easter card featuring this image by Inkadinkado.  I think this chick is a cutie.  I also used DP by Echo Park, Copics, Spellbinder dies, flowers by Prima and Inky Impressions, leaf punches by Martha Stewart, bird, bird cage and "Chloe Stem" dies by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking, cheese cloth, edge punch by EK, doily die by Stampin' Up, bakers twine, and pearls by Kaiser Craft.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Totally Paper Crafts - "Challenge 154 - Pets"
Incy Wincy Design Challenge - "Pop It Up"
Fab 'n Funky Challenge - "Challenge 159 - Flower Power"

Okie dokie, moving along..... here are some pix of to the grinds we enjoyed this past Saturday for a family get-together.

We catered most of the food from KUM YO.  For those of you who live in Hilo or the east side of the Big Island, I would highly recommend that you dine there.   They are located on Kawili St. across Kamaaina Nissan.  Your taste buds will thank you.  You can buy bentos, select from the deli, or off the menu.   There's something for everyone.

First up is the scrumptious FISH JUN....

Here's the savory SHRIMP CURRY.  Check out the size of the shrimp....HUGE.

There KOREAN SUSHI is deeeeelicious......

The ROAST BEEF WITH GRAVY is sooooo soft and juicy......

Here's the veggies....CUCUMBER KIM CHEE, BEAN SPROUTS, AND SEAWEED.  Super yummy!

The best MACARONI AND POTATO SALAD....fabulous!

Superb LONG RICE NOODLES.....

And super tasty MOCHIKO CHICKEN....broke da mouth.

We also ordered CHOW MEIN from Sum Leung.....
KOREAN AHI POKE from KTA...

WARABI SALAD from Hilo Lunch Shop....

And the family so generously brought some yummy dishes too.....OH MY, WOW!!!

Cousin Mary Ann made this yummy linguine dish....VERY, VERY  ONO!   (Oh, I made that Kum Yo sign too, not realizing we'd be blessed with so much more awesome dishes from the family.)

CRISPY WON TON by cousin Merla....BIG HIT!!!

My brother-in-law brought CHAR SIU and ROAST PORK (hubby favorite) from Oahu.

FRIED FISH by Marcia and Brent....

LEMON MIRANGE PIE by cousin Jan....

APPLE PIE from Marcia and Brent
 .

On Sunday night we had dinner at Seaside Restaurant.  Rats, I did it again.  Chowed down some of my VOLCANO SHRIMP before I remembered to take a pix.  Messy to eat but DELICIOUS.

On Monday, hubby and I went to Kona and had lunch at Big Island Grill for our anniversary.  Yup, I forgot to take a pix of my Teri Chicken and Fried Shrimp plate BUT I remembered to take a pix of the Banana Split we shared.  It's not the usual Banana Split.  This one had chocolate, macadamia nut, and mocha ice cream.  And the banana had a caramelized glaze.   Sure hit the spot and we practically rolled out of there.  I felt like an "oink."   Ha-ha.

Okie dokie, thanks for stopping by for a peek.

You folks know how to throw a party! I'm a dessert person and that banana split is talking to me!!!

I love your card too. Chicks are so cute in that baby, yellow stage. I want one peeping around here for Easter but the cat will probably eat it =(

You are ahead of the game. You already made your first Easter card. As usual it turned out very cute.

Wowee... all of you ate good at the family gathering. I thought I tried all the Hawaiian grinds out there. I guess not. There are at least 3-4 that I don't think that I have tried that you had at the gathering. I'll have to try that restaurant out if I ever visit.

Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby! May God bless you with many more happy times together for many years to come.
