Cute Yoshimi

Hi Peeps!!! I just finished my card featuring Yoshimi from Sister Stamps Release #5. Isn't she a cutie? I'm so tempted to add a yellow bow and maybe some flowers but since I'm entering this card in the Lollipop Crafts Challenge #63, I need to refrain from doing so as the theme for this week's challenge is "no embellishments." Ohh, that IS a challenge. LOL . Since Girl's Day is coming up, I thought I'd choose a theme with an Asian flair using washi paper that I bought in Japan. I also embossed the red background with the Cuttlebug embossing folder. The "Happy Girl's Day" stamp is by Dandelion Designs. I think I'll give this to my mom.

If you'd like to enter one of your creations, click here for the deets. It's fun!!!

Other supplies: Copic Markers, Spellbinder dies, punch by EK, and Distress Ink.

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!!!

That is so cute! I've been avoiding using washi paper since it's so expensive, but I may have to give in and buy some.

She's so cute and the colors are so fun! Sometime minimal embellies are the best, especially for cards that are going to be mailed! sometimes i have to pay extra postage just for a button!

Karen, this Girl's Day card that you made is so cute. I love everything that you used on it. BTW, you mentioned that the washi paper that you brought from Japan come in big sheets so you need to cut them before you use them. How did you bring the sheets home from Japan without them getting wrinkled?
