Check out these nifty tags I received from my November and December Tag Swap partner, Myra. She had some very clever ideas.

Happy Holidays
Do you ever feel like you have special powers sometimes? Well, I gotta share this story. Actually, it's kind of funny to me.
A few months ago, my hubby's co-worker, Missy, applied for a new job. During their lunch break they were talking about it and my hubby told her, "Oh, I should ask my wife to pray for you so you get the job because I think she has powers." He came home from work that evening and told me I needed to pray for Missy. I was like, HUH???? When he told me the story I had to LAUGH and said, "Are you nuts?" He said, "No, I told Missy you have powers so you better pray for her." I thought it was hilarious and said, "OK, I'll pray for her and let's see if she gets the job." HOLY MOLY, about a week later she said she got the job and was soooooo happy and even thanked me. :-)
THEN, this evening my hubby came home and told me I had to pray for Missy's cousin. He heard (from Missy) that I had powers and wants me to pray for him to get a job he recently applied for. I was shocked and said, "You must be kidding." My hubby said, "No, I told Missy you were going to pray for her cousin. He needs all the help he can get." He added, "OK, if he gets the job, I'll really be convinced." OMG...THIS IS TOO FUNNY.
OK, I'll keep you posted once we find out if he got the job or not.
Now for the card. Can you tell I'm having fun with my snowflake embossing folder? Here's a simple card. The branch image is by Hero Arts, colored with Copics, and I used a little bit of Stickles on the ornaments. This is one of my favorite Spellbinder die. If you click on the picture to zoom in, you'll get a better view of the snowman button (shank removed) on a glittery snowflake.
Okie dokie, have a great evening / day.

Sparkling Holographic Card
Last Christmas, one of my sons gave me a bunch of scrapbooking/cardmaking goodies. Thought I'd make a card out of this large holographic ornament.
The ornament is by Jolee's by You and the white background is embossed with my snowflake embossing folder by Sizzix. The leaf punch is by EK Success and accented with a gold trimmed ribbon.

November and December Tag Swap
Oh dear, Christmas is next weekend already. I better get my holiday stuff posted before then.
My November and December Tag Swap partner was Myra. Here's what I made for her.
The Christmas tree stamp is an oldie but goodie. It's colored with Copics and stuck on some itty bitty rhinestones for the ornaments. The Spellbinder die used on the red border is one of my newest. Just love the details. :-)
And here are candy cane tags also colored with Copics. I accented them with Crystal Stickles for a little sparkle. Of course, gotta use the Spellbinder dies too.

"Sweet Christmas Wishes" Card
Time to take a break from my year-end house cleaning which includes a bunch of "extra" stuff aside from the usual weekly chores. The "do to" list is L-O-N-G and I think we've tackled more than half.....yay!!!
I'm really hooked on embossing folders. Here's a picture of the card I made and sent to friends and family. It took several weeks to complete 30 of them. Thank you to all who emailed your compliments......made my day. :-)
For the front of the matchbook style card I used the Sizzix embossing folder, cookie platter stamp by Hero Arts, Sweet Christmas Wishes stamp by Dandelion Design, Copic markers, Spellbinder dies, snowflake punch by Marvy Uchida, and ribbon.
Inside is a sentiment from "1,000 Card Quotes" by Hot Off the Press, and a yummy recipe for Melt'um Sugar Cookies. Wife of my hubby's boss made some for us and it was soooooooo good and just melts in your mouth. Of course I had to ask for the recipe.

THANKS CHAR
Char was the winner of my recent blogaversary candy. I'm happy it gave her a much needed lift. How sweet of her to send me this CUTE card. I love the image and simple layout.
She also included this stand-up Hello Kitty calendar. Neat idea. I might just copy it one day. :-)
I'm saving the card with my "collection" and after 2011 is over, the calendar will be added too.

Holiday Goodies for the Staff
I work for a great firm. Our boss treats us to lunch every quarter. So thoughtful yah? Well, since Christmas is just around the corner, I baked a batch of Sugar Cookies with green and red sugar sprinkles for the staff. Oh, that's so much fun!!!!
The front of the label is stamped with a peppermint candy flower and "Sweet Christmas Wishes" image by Dandelion Designs, embossed, and colored with Copics. I also used Spellbinder dies and crystal Stickles.
Here's the back of the label. The image is by TAJ and of course it's colored with Copics. I must've had this stamp for at least 10 years......oldie but goodie. :-)
