"Happy Hellos" CAS Card

Happy Hellos Peeps!  Hope you're all enjoying your weekend crafting.   On Friday, I took a few hours of vacation time and we took a drive to Kona to shop at Costco.   Can you imagine, we need to drive about 100 miles to the one and only Costco on this island.   I sure hope they open one in Hilo in my lifetime.   However, it was a beautiful sunshiny day and we enjoyed the ride.  A little bit like playing tourist.  LOL.

 

Today, I want to share this CAS card featuring one of the images from the Pixie Dust Studio digi set that I recently won in their blog hop.  I chose the set called "Pixie's Favorite Things."  Isn't she a doll, a real cutie?   I inked her up with Copics leaving a teeny-tiny part white on the cherries in hair to give them some "reflection" from the light.  Also used my new tag die by Sizzix, border and leaf punches by EK, DP from my evergrowning stash, ribbon and flower by Offray, and a button with carpet thread tied to it.

Hey Peeps!   OMG, where did the weekend go?   It's definitely time for a new post.

Here's a baby card I made with a Tina Wenke image that I inked up with Copics.  Oh, you know me, gotta add flowers.   The red layered flower was made using the "Five Point Flower" die by C.C. Design that my cuz recently surprised me with.  She really knows me well.    Those little yellow flowers are from a punch but sorry, no brand name is on it. 

Other ingredients:  DP by Doodlebug, Spellbinder dies, Distress Ink, Edge punch by Martha Stewart,

"So Sweet" die by Sizzix, embossing folder by Cuttlebug, "madera Corner" die by Memory Box, leaf punch by McGill, rhinestone lace, butterfly punch, and rhinestones.

Happy Takeo

Today's card is special because this cutie, Takeo by Sister Stamps has the same name as my grandpa.  I inked him up with Copics and created a little scene with clouds using my die from Memory Box, and grass from Martha Stewart.   I added some Stickles on the balloons to give it some sparkle.  For dimension, I cut the string for the balloons from the image and added embroidery thread.  Also, a little tag stamp by Hero Arts with bakers twine.   Other supplies:  Spellbinder dies, tree die by Memory Box, and washi paper.  Of course, I had to add some stitches.

Today, I'm sharing this card using this cute image by Penny Johnson.  This kitty remind me our cat in her younger days so I posted her pix on my sidebar.  Of course I couldn't resist adding flowers so I used an assortment from Wild Orchid, Prima, and All Natural Accents.

 My mojo has been lost in outer space for a while and finally landed so I eagerly inked up cute Miyoko by Sister Stamps with Copics.  I just love her adorable pose.   Popped in to Island Scrapbooking the other weekend and got this fab punch by EK.  Great for the Asian touch.

An Inspirational Card for the July Secret Sister Swap

Hello Peeps!  Hope you have a fun and crafty weekend ahead.

Here's a card I made for Mary in Florida for the July Secret Sister Swap.   The theme for this month was red, white, and blue which really stumped me since Independence Day is over.  So I thought I'd use this inspirational quote using the color combo.

To add a sparkling touch, I paper pieced the 2 flowers using glitter paper.
