White-on-White Wedding Card for the Newlyweds

Yay, half the week is over and we're headed for a nice LONG weekend.  Hope you are too.

I really love white-on-white cards and have seen them from time-to-time in blog land.  Thought I'd give it a shot.  Here's a wedding card I made (well, I actually made 2) for two couples who recently tied the knot.

Dining with Leanne and Jenny

Hey Peeps, I've got something awesome to share with you today.   Many of you may know Leanne of Yumi and Fumi Handmade Crafts and Jenny of Sister Stamps.   I'm so happy I got to meet Leanne during her visit to the Big Island, and dine with two sweet and super talented/creative gals.  We all enjoyed a yummy dinner at Hawaiian Style Cafe a couple of nights ago.  

Check this out!  Leanne made this awesome frame featuring "Yumi with Fan."   I totally LOVE IT!!!  Thank you Leanne.

Here it is on the top shelf of my computer desk in my craft room.  Now I can admire it EVERYDAY.   It makes me smile.  :-)

And here we are before sinking our teeth into our yummy dinner.  Leanne had the Korean Chicken Plate, Jenny had the Fish and Chips, and I ordered the small Beef Stew and couldn't finish it.  They give huge portions.  :-)   Oh rats, forgot to take a pix of Leanne's Strawberry Cream Cheese dessert.  It looked really "oishii" (delicious).

Thinking Outside the Circle - A Sparkly Birthday Card

I love circle cards and thought it was time for me to create another one.   This time I wanted to do something bold and "think outside the circle." For this card, I used "Cupcake Surprise Puppy" image by Kitty Bee Designs from Ben Franklin Crafts and splashed on some flowers by Prima, Inky Impressions, and All Natural Accents.    To add sparkle, I used glitter paper (blue) and applied Stickles to the tips of the rose petals and edge of the leaves. And of course, I love the stitched effect so I sewed the edge of the white circle.

Here's a close-up of the flowers and "Madera Corner" die cuts which I cut twice then added pearls.  The die is by Memory Box which I got at Island Scrapbooking.

The glittery Happy Birthday laser cut sentiment is from Island Scrapbooking (IS).  I attached it to a post made with glitter paper.  Both sides were punched with my EK scallop punch.   IS has a huge selection of sentiments, flowers, leaves, Hawaiian theme too, etc. laser cuts and still coming up with more.

Today I have this aquatic themed card to share.  I used happy "Simona" by Sister Stamps.   Thought I'd give it a shot and colored her hair green.  That was fun!   The wave DP is by DCWV (I think), which was gray but I changed it up with my Distress Ink to make it blue.

Happy Buddies

Hey Peeps, hope you all had a fun and fabulous weekend.   For those of you who live on the Big Island, did you feel the earthquake early this morning?  I was in the kitchen writing my market list when I was surprised with a short rumble followed by a big jolt then short rumble again.  My eyes popped and I said, "WHOA, AHHHH."  Hee-hee.  Glad all is fine.
