A Thank You Card to my Sweet Cuz for an Awesome RAK

Hey Peeps!  Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.    

Last week my sweet cuz surprised me again with a RAK.  OMGosh, I can't tell you how happy I was to find the "Flower Girls Set" by Dandelion Design in the package.  She knows me so well.   I actually saw a card made by a fellow blogger and added it to my wish list.  Then I found it on sale on a website and was going to order it but I got distracted.  Oh, how great was that because next thing I knew, it popped up in the mail.    They are dang cute and the perfect size.  My mojo is spinning with ideas now.  THANKS CUZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On to my weekend.   I finally got to take my dear friend out for her birthday.  We were supposed to go last month but since she wasn't feeling well, we postponed till yesterday.  At first she chose New China for the buffet but later decided she felt like eating soba noodles so we had lunch at Miyo's.   We are both "noodle" people and ordered the Soba with Tempura (Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura).   Ummm, was that GOOD.   Gee, I think I could've eaten two of these.  Hee-hee....oink.

My friend is an amazing gardener too.  Look at the gorgeous dahlias she grew and shared with me.  Some of them are HUGE too.  WOW!!!

Batch #1 - Christmas Cards featuring Cute "Minoru"

Hey Peeps!  Hope you're all getting a lot of fun crafting done.

I've been jamming away since last month getting a head start on my holiday cards and some crafty projects.   But as soon as 9/2 rolled around, I dropped everything, got the new Christmas release by Sister Stamps  and was eager to ink them up.   For starters, here's "Minoru."  Don't you think he's a little cutie?  

To add some dimension, I used my Pearl Pen by VIVA from Stamps n Memories to create some snow.  Also, added Stickles (Crystal) at the top of the mounds of snow.  You may need to zoom in to see it.  :-)

Being in a humorous mood, I came up with this fun card, actually a couple of months ago.   My hubby loves to fish so I think I'll save this one for him.   Some of you may be wondering what "hanapa'a" means.   It's means "hook-up" in Hawaiian.

Card #3 for my Dear Friend's Birthday

Hope you're all having a fabulous weekend.   It was great hanging out with family for dinner tonight at Ken's House of Pancakes.  Of course, I had noodles.....again.  I ordered the Won Ton Mein, and I ate the whole thing.   Oh, oh, oh, I should mention it wasn't the Sumo Min.  OMGosh, that thing is ENORMOUS!  If I had THAT, I would've been cross-eyed by the time I was done.  LOL

A Birthday Gift for My SUPER-DEAR Friend

My dear friend celebrated her birthday last week and I was so thrilled to make this card purse for her.   The template is actually from a box of cereal bars.  It's just perfect to fit 6 cards and envelopes.  Seeing a big smile on her face was priceless.  In the upcoming days, I'll be posting the cards I made for her.   Three were cards I posted recently and three were made a couple of weeks ago.

Special Delivery

Hey Peeps, hope you're all enjoying the long weekend.  I'm so glad tomorrow is a holiday and have an extra day to do things, crafting included....YAY!

Here's a baby card I made using an image and sentiment by Will 'n Way "Baby Bundles" set which I got at Cute Stuff during my last trip to Oahu.  It was a set I couldn't resist the big smile of this bundle-of-joy.

I used several Spellbinder dies.  One of them is from the "Beaded Square" die set.  To make it pop, I used a 3/8 inch circle punch from Ben Franklin Crafts (BFC), punched some dotted hot pink DP, and glued them onto the circles.  For added dimension, I added red puffy heart stickers by Sticko from BFC onto the stroller.
