A Big "Thank You" to Leanne

I recently was a SUPER LUCKY winner of one of Leanne's 1,000th post blog candy and received an abundance of yummy goodies.  OMG, I almost fainted when I opened the box to find a whole bunch of dies, super cute images, and dang sweet embellies.  Using one of the images she sent, I inked "A Fairy Hug" by Tina Wenke with Copics.   The "THANKS" die by Taylored Expressions she included was perfect for this card I sent to her.  I like how the black pops on the colorful striped DP which was cut with the "Stitched Borders 2" die set by Pretty Pink Posh.  For added dimension, I added Fran-tage, Stickles on the fairies' wings, butterflies, and flat-back pearls.   So happy she liked the card and RAK I sent to her.  Be sure to visit Leanne's blog.....you're guaranteed to be inspired.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!   Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!!!

Happy Little Pandas

Don't these little cuties just make you smile?  Ling-Ling, Po, and Shin-Shin are having a blast frolicking on the hills in a bamboo field.   Take a look at the "Bamboo" digital paper.  It's new and one of many exclusively from Island Scrapbooking.  Click here to see photos of all the other beautiful paper.  You'll be head over heels when you see them.

These cuties were inked with black Copics....super easy-peasy.  And the hills were created using the Landscape Trio die set by Mama Elephant, also from Island Scrapbooking.

Thanks so much for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY.

Thank You Colleen

My bloggie pal, Colleen and I celebrated our birthdays a few months ago, just a few days apart and here are the thank you cards we exchanged.    Using one of the pretty paper and sparkly sequins she so thoughtfully included with her thank you, I made this card for her.  The image is by Tiddly Ink, fence die by Magnolia, laser cut sentiment by Island Scrapbooking, and "Stitched Country Borders" die by Memory Box/Open Studio.  So happy she like the card and RAK I included with this card.

Colleen made this cute panda bear "mahalo" (thank you) card for me.  Love the image and bamboo embossing folder she used.

Ohhh, love these 2 pkgs. of gorgeous Yuzen and hand made paper.

Having sequins is a must these days to add sparkle to my cards.  These came in a packaged set but I forgot to take a pix before putting them in this little zip bags.

Thanks so much Colleen!

A Day at the Beach with Halia AND More "Ono" Grinds from Kona

Hey there Peeps!   Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.  Oh boy, I sure did.  Hubby had a class to attend in Kona so while he was there, I went cruising and did a bit of shopping (Ross, Target, PETCO, Macy's, K-Mart, and Jeans Warehouse).   Fun...but OhhhhhMG, it was sweltering HOT in Kona.   I swear you could probably fry an egg on the sidewalk.  LOL.

Well, it would have been a perfect day for the beach.  So here's my card for today.....darling Halia by Sister Stamps playing in the sand.

For this card, I added the cute turtle by Craft Lounge and starfishes by Stampendous.  Inked them and Halia with Copics.  Also used the "Stitched Circle Frames" die by Die-namics, and DPs by Island Paperie from Island Scrapbooking.

Me being a super speedy shopper, was done in 2 hours so I drove back to where my hubby's class was then took a short stroll along Alii Drive.  Cooled off in ABC Store then took this pix of the beautiful coast line.  Class got out at noon.

OK, time for lunch at Umeke's and both hubby and I were dying for a nice COLD drink.  Cranberry juice for me and Bug Light for him.   Kanpai!!!

I had a very small breakfast and by 12:30....starving.   Boy, I tell you, lunch was worth starving for.   I ordered the "Mauka 2 Makai Mixed Plate" and got to choose 2 items.  Everything looked YUMMY and I ordered the Teri Beef and Furikake Chicken.   Oh, I can see (or taste) why this place has won many awards.   The food is above and beyond delicious and the beef was SUPER TENDER.

Famished hub ordered the "Mean Da Plate" which came with Pulehu Beef, Stuffed Aburage, Chili Peppah Wings, Furikake Ahi, and Hammah Roll (sushi)".    Mmmm, so ONO.

As soon as we stepped out of the restaurant we were instantly dying for something ice cold again to beat the heat so we headed to One Aloha Shave Ice in the King Kamehameha Mall.   Hey, if you're in Kona, you MUST go there.   Seriously, this was DA ABSOLUTE BEST shave ice I ever had.   The ice is shaved super fine and they make their own organic, yes organic syrup in a nice variety of flavors.  I describe it as naturally delicious.   They're working on lychee now.   Hubby had Strawberry and Banana with Azuki Ice Cream....DA BOMB!!!

I ordered Blueberry (on the other side), Strawberry, and Coconut.   ANOTHER BOMB.   This really hit the spot.    Oh, and did you know the cup and straw are made with corn????   How's that for taking care of our environment?   I like the flowers shaped lip on the rim to I keep the shave ice from falling out.   You even get a reward punch card.  Buy 9 and Get 1 Free.  Gotta go there again for sure.

Okie dokie, thank you for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!!!

Thought It Was Christmas in August - THANK YOU LEANNE

First of all, CONGRATS to Leanne on her 1,000th post.  Check out her blog here and you're guaranteed to be inspired by her diversified creations.  In celebration of reaching this amazing milestone, she recently offered some candy and I was so thrilled to be one of the lucky winners in her drawing.    Hoooooly cow, I was totally blown away when I opened a box of super sweet craft "candy."

I'm still admiring this beautiful card she made.  Love the Asian theme with pretty DP and glittered dots.

Are you ready to see all the goodies?   Ohhh, I'm really gonna have fun with this cool cherry blossom die.

I love to color and am really looking forward to inking up these darling images.

More dies....I LOVE dies and these turtles will add a great touch to any beach/ocean scene and the dresses to some girly cards.

These layered stickers will bring my cards to a whole new level....great sentiments and sparkly butterflies.

Thank you cards are always a necessity and this die will definitely come in very handy.    Hey, I've never seen metal butterflies before.  Ohhhh, these are dang pretty.

THANKS A MILLION LEANNE for the "sweets."   I'm in heaven.  LOL.

CONGRATS again to you.

Thank you for stopping by.

"Speedy Recovery" Cards

I recently needed to make speedy recovery cards for two people.  Wishing both of them a complete and super speedy recovery.

Using two different washi paper designs, I came up with these two CAS cards.  I used a gold glittered gel pen to color the tips of the crane's wings.  Love this crane by Sister Stamps.   Also used the bamboo die by Memory Box and sentiment by Close to My Heart.  Easy peasy.

Thanks for stopping by!
