My Card for the July Island Scrapbooking Swap

For the July swap I decided to create a CAS floral card and "frame" it with black dotted DP for a bold contrast and to make the flower pop.   For this card, I used these dies:  "Stitched Rectangle Frame" by Die-namics, "Stitched Country Borders" by Memory Box-Open Studio, "Thanks" sentiment by Memory Box, and "Bashful" daisy by Poppy Stamps.   Also, embossing folder by Darice and Candi dots.   All from Island Scrapbooking.

Oh, does that one in the center stand out?  Hee-hee, shucks, I ran out of DPs with the smaller dots.

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!

A Hillside Scene

Hope you're all having a nice and "cool" weekend.  It's been quite hot here is Hawaii lately.

Here's a card I made a few months ago using a bunch of dies.  This was really quick to make since I didn't use a stamped image that required coloring.....I do love to color though.

I used these dies for this hillside scene:
"Landscape Trio" by Mama Elephant
"Twiggy Tree" by Memory Box
"Small Flock of Doves" by Memory Box
The smallest flower from the "Primula Blooms" set by Memory Box

Hubby and I took a drive out to Kona today for lunch and to shop at Costco.   One of his co-workers told him Chubby's in the Kona Bowling Alley has awesome food.  Everything he ate there so far is super delicious and the portions are GOOD.  So we ate there and boy was he right.  Hubby ate the Pork Cutlet (with extra gravy on the rice.....he's a gravy man).  I tried it and yup, soooo delicious. Best Pork Cutlet I ever ate.

I chose one of the specials for the day, Pot Roast and "yummy" says it all.  THE most moist Pot Roast I ever had.  We MUST go there again.

Okie dokie, thank you for stopping by!

A Birthday Card for My Co-Worker

Here's a card I made in June for one of my co-workers.  I inked an image by Tiddly Ink with Copics, used the "Piestra Tile" die by Memory Box, dots from a RAK I received, and laser cut sentiment by and from Island Scrapbooking.   Kept it simple.

June Secret Sister Swap

Gotta say, this card that I made for Kathy was super-duper fun to make.  I've had this "Swings 'n Slides Ice Cream Cart" image from Little Miss Muffet Stamps for about a year and since our theme was "summer," the light bulb went on.  I inked the cart and "Anuhea" by Sister Stamps with Copics, and paper-pieced her shirt.   Also snipped off the straw from her shaved ice to make it look like an ice cream cone.  :-)    To top off the scene, I added the clouds (with the rainbow snipped off) and sun from the "Hello Sunshine" set by Dandelion Designs, hills using the "Stitched Landscape" die by Poppy Stamps from Island Scrapbooking, and grass stamp from Viva Las Vegas stamps.  Yes, everything except the hills were "fun" cut.  I was really happy with how it turned out and happier that Kathy really liked it.

Included with my cards were a few RAKS....

And lookie here.  I'm beyond thrilled and in awe to have received this really cool flip book that Valerie made for me featuring "Popsicle Marci."  I spent quite some time checking out how she put it together.   She did a fabulous job!!!!

This is what it looks like when you flip the cover over....

And when you flip the right and left panel open.

She also included this sweet mini stamp set.  THANK YOU SO MUCH VAL!!!!

Gardening Twila

Happy Aloha Friday Peeps!   Hope you're all enjoying the long weekend.  We sure have a nice "hot" and sunny day ahead of us.

Today, I have a gardening scene card to share with you.  After I saw Lynn's post a couple of months ago using images from the "Green Thumb" set by Paper Smooches, I had to get that set from HM Ben Franklin Crafts.  Also, thought it would be great to add "Gardening Twila" by C.C. Designs.  I "framed" her using these dies from Island Scrapbooking:  Circle die by Spellbinder, "Pierced Circle" die by Die-namics, and "Stitched Landscape" by Poppy Stamps, and "Stitched Sky" by Memory Box.

Thanks for stopping by and HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!!!
