I've had this "Candy Cup" die by Sizzix for a while and thought this would be the perfect time to create an Easter basket with it.   Being Spring and Easter is just a few days away, I wanted to make it in bright and cheery Spring colors.

I recently received happy mail from a dear friend.  Aren't these sweet?   I actually ate the candy in the red envelope before I took the picture but inserted the wrapper after.  Can't tell huh?   It fits a Ghirardelli Square chocolate just perfectly.  Yummy!!!   The Hello Kitty heart has 3 cute notepads when it's opened (see below).  Cute idea.  Lastly, a pkg. of popcorn inserted in the sweet wrapper.   We ate it while watching Hawaii Five-O.  Can't watch TV without munching on some goodies.

Here's a pix of the Hello Kitty notepads.  Love it!!!!

Retired and Gone Fishing

This past weekend hubby and I went to a Retirement Party.  The retiree loves to fish.  Well, these were the only fishing images I had and I bet it'll make him feel "young."   LOL.  We enjoyed some yummy Hawaiian food and ohhhh everything was YUMMY!  Wish I had a bigger tummy so I could've eaten more.    Ha-ha, oink.

Here's the card I made.  Wanting to add some dimension, I stamped the fish multiple times on gray CS and fussy cut them.  The cute bear and duck actually just had their fishing line in the water but I added fish at the end of their line to make it look like they each got a bite.

Here's a close up of their "catch".

And a pix of the matching gift tag.

I used the following:
Image: Popcorn the Bear by Crafters Companion
DP by Doodlebug and Mind's Eye
Copics
Tab punch by Stampin' Up
Sentiment - Made on my computer
Distress Ink
Brads
Twine
Grass stamp from Viva Las Vegas Stamps
To / From stamp by Magenta

Buzzin' By on a Sunny Spring Day....and an Eeeeeky Must-See Pix

A few weeks ago, we had SOOOOO much rain it seemed like it would never end.   Now that the sun is out again, I thought I'd create this "backyard scene on a sun shiny day."

For this card I used the following:
Flower, sun, and bee stamps by Hero Arts
Fence die by Magnolia from Island Scrapbooking
Grass punch by Martha Stewart
DP from my ever growing stash
Flower and snail stickers by Sticko
Copics

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday:  "Challenge 259 - Spring Fever"
The Paper Shelter:  "Challenge 102 - Punch and Die"  (Fence die and grass punch)
Whimsical Designs:  "Think Spring"
Papertake Weekly:  "Anything Goes"

Loves Rubberstamps:  "Week 42 - Anything Goes"
Paper Playtime:  "Challenge 5 - Anything Goes"
That Craft Place Blog:  "Anything Goes"

And here's the "Eeeeeky" pix.  This is my son's friend's girlfriend with their "pet" Jackson chameleon.  OMG, when she stepped out of the car I kinda freaked out and told her not to come near me fearing her "pet" might jump on me.   Oh brother, if that ever happened, believe me, it would go FLYING into the ozone.  Hee-hee.
And get this, she said she once had a live grasshopper and put it between her lips with the body partially out.  The chameleon was on the palm of her had and it zapped the grasshopper with it's tongue in a flash.  EEEEEEEEEKKKKKK!!!!

And here's our son holding it.   AHHHHH!!!  Look at his eyeballs.....freaky!!!  Ugh, go wash your hands. (No offense)  LOL.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a happy Aloha Friday and a fabulous weekend.
