An Inspirational Card for the July Secret Sister Swap

Hello Peeps!  Hope you have a fun and crafty weekend ahead.

Here's a card I made for Mary in Florida for the July Secret Sister Swap.   The theme for this month was red, white, and blue which really stumped me since Independence Day is over.  So I thought I'd use this inspirational quote using the color combo.

To add a sparkling touch, I paper pieced the 2 flowers using glitter paper.

Ingredients:  DP and edge punch by Stampin' Up, Sentiment by Stampendous,  "Honeyblossom Sprig" die by Memory Box from Island Scrapbooking,  corner accent by Spellbinder, Spellbinder dies, distress ink, glitter paper, ribbon, button, carpet thread and pearls by Kaiser Craft.

Challenges:
Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge - "All That Glitter"
Cute Card Thursday - "Challenge 227 "So Distressing"
Crafts and Me Challenge - "Anything Goes"

A Gorgeous Card from Cuz featuring Sweet Mariko

Oh WOW, more happy mail.  Check out this gorgeous card my cuz sent me.  I TOTALLY LOVE IT.   So funny because after I thanked her via email, she replied saying she's glad the wood piece didn't break during shipping.  I thought, 'Wood piece??? What wood piece???'   Hmmmm, maybe I missed something so I checked the envelope again and found no wood piece.   Then I look at the card more closely and ahhhhh, there it is.  See that tan piece behind Mariko?   It's a super thin piece of wood.   Reeeeally nice and what a clever idea.

Here's a peek inside.  I'm not sure if you can see it but the white piece has a pretty bamboo design.  She used an embossing folder by Darice.   I'm still waiting for mine to arrive at BFC.....hopefully soon.
Is it Christmas?   She surprised me with a Copic Multiliner  marker and these flower dies.  I had no idea C.C. Designs made dies.   Aren't these cool?   Can't wait to make my own layered flowers and try the multiliner on black hair.  Thanks cuz!!!!!

Thank you Lynn

Happy Aloha Friday Peeps!!!
Today, I'm sharing this thank you card that I made for sweet Lynn.  I was so lucky to have my name randomly drawn and won a Ben Franklin Crafts gift card and a super nice assortment of washi paper which I posted on 6/16.  As a token of my appreciation, I made this card and included a little something for her but sooooo sad to say, she never received it though it was mailed about a month or so ago.  I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that it'll somehow miraculously arrive.   Maybe it's taking a trip around the world first.  LOL. At least Lynn can see what I sent to her on my blog.   I hope you like it Lynn.

Anyhoo, all you crafty crafters, be sure to hop onto her awesome blog here and leave her your sweet comments regularly.   You may be the next lucky winner.

Supplies for this card:  Frame die "Fancy Square" by Sizzix which I got at Ben Franklin Crafts, "Kiyomi" by Sister Stamps, wisteria flower stamp by Mari and Me, Copics, butterfly punch by Martha Stewart, pearls by Kaiser Crafts, and Dew Drops.

Thanks for stopping by.   Hope you HAVE A SCRAP HAPPY DAY!!!

Thinking of You

Happy Aloha Friday Everyone!  Woo-hoo, it's the weekend....YAY!

Here's a card I made that makes me feel like it's Spring again.   After inking up the flowers, I was stumped as to what I should add to finish it off.   I tried a few bows in different colors but they didn't do.   Ahhhhhh, then I decided to ink up my butterfly stamp and wala, I think it worked.  What do you think?

I used the following for this card:  DP by The Girls Paperie, Copics, "Thinking of You" stamp by Inkadinkado, Butterfly stamp by Hero Arts, Distress Ink, pearls by Kaiser Craft, Dragonfly sticker by Jolee, and rhinestones by Mark Richards.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

June Card Swap and Prize from Blog Hop

I'm a bit delinquent in posting this sweet card I received from Cyndi.  We were partners for June in Shirl's Anything Goes Swap.  Love the cute scoops of ice cream in the waffle cone.  Thanks Cyndi.

I was the lucky winner of Eileen's prize in a recent blog hop on Tuesday Alchemy's blog.   Look at all the goodies she sent me.   Awesome cards, tags, and an assortment of postcards.  The book is filled with sewing ideas and I see at least a couple of things I could add to my cards.   Thanks Eileen.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Kenichi and his Best Friend - A card for my June Secret Sister Swap

Wow, can you believe the weekend is here already?   No complaints though.   Hope you all have a fun and crafty one.

Here's the card I made for Theresa in So. Africa.  I was her secret sister.   She just received it so it's safe to post it now.   LOL.  This cute little guy is Kenichi by Sister Stamps.  He and his pooch were inked up with Copics.    To add some dimension, I added some "rocks" which is a  stamp by Hero Arts.  Gotta keep it Asian so I also used my Cuttlbug embossing folder with an oriental design.  The corner accent is from the "Architectural Accent" set by Sizzix.
Other supplies:  Sentiment typed on the computer, Spellbinder dies, butterfly punch by Martha Stewart, pearls by Kaiser Craft, and Distress Ink.
