Baby Bear Card

Yay!!! I finally finished this card. It took a few days and truthfully, I didn't really know how it would turn out because I started off with the bear image, then started adding and adding to it. Gotta say, this is probably the fanciest card I've made so far. Oh, that was fun.

Would you believe the little Teddy Bear was given to me with a floral arrangement when I gave birth to our son 23 years ago? I'm very sentimental. :-)

Here are the supplies I used:
All stamps are by Penny Black. They are from the "Make a Wish" and Teddy & Co." sets.
Spellbinder dies
Flowers by Prima
Paper by Stampin' Up
Leaf punch by McGill

Thank you Kris

Aren't these CUTE? Kris and I did a swap this month and I received these fantastic goodies in the mail today. She's soooooo generous! The little "purse" in the middle is a 3" x 3" Post It pad and the dotted ribbon matches perfectly.

I have the itty bitty little HK calendar on my computer desk. I'll use the HK paper clips to clip my coupons to my weekly market list.

THANKS KRIS!!!!

Welcome Baby

About a week ago, my supervisor gave birth to a bouncy baby boy. I always tend to ask new mom's if their baby sleeps thru the night because it took our eldest 3 YEARS. Well gee, no wonder I was "wiped out." LOL. She's really lucky because her baby may wake up 3x at night but goes right back to sleep. We tried everything from putting a picture of a rooster in the crib upside down (have you heard about that one?), letting him cry (I couldn't stomach that), etc. But I can honestly say that having our 3 sons gave me the best years of my life. Kinda miss when they were little. So all you mother's out there with young ones, enjoy them because before you know it, they'll be all grown up.

Here's the card I made for her baby using images from a Popcorn the Bear stamp set.
Other supplies:
Copic markers
Punch by Martha Stewart
Grosgrain ribbon
Distress Ink
Embossing folder by Cuttlebug

Happy Anniversary

Today, my hubby and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. We had dinner at Miyo's.....yep Shrimp Tempura again but they had a special so I also got Teriyaki Chicken and Chicken Katsu. We practically rolled outa there.

Then we headed to the mall, walked it off a bit then enjoyed some YUMMY yogurt at Yogurtland. That was the first time we went there so we tried a little of several flavors. I think my favorite flavor was the Toasted Coconut and Fresh Strawberry. Oh and they had sooooo many different toppings to choose from. It was so hard to decide but fun. Guess we'll just have to go back again to "try them all." I'd say the granola was my favorite....heathy too. Ummmm, it just hit the spot.

Here's the card I made from him which I just finished after we got home from dinner. Whew, just made it but still "on time" huh? :-)

The image is from a Popcorn the Bear set by Crafter's Companion which I got recently at Island Scrapbooking.

Other supplies:
Copic markers
Spellbinder dies
Fern punch by Martha Stewart
Prima flowers
Bee button with the shank removed
Pearls by Kaiser Craft

Our Annual FCE Club Installation Dinner

We had our annual FCE dinner tonight at a Japanese restaurant. Ummm, the food was sooo delicious. I always order my "steady Eddie," either the Tempura Soba or Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura......too chicken to try something new. LOL.

The "sisters" in our club always share goodies with each other. Here's what I made for the girls.
This goodie bag has a box of Valentine's candy with a sleeve decorated with a Precious Moment image which I colored with Copics. Also, a 3" x 3" Post It notepad.....scroll down for a closer look.

Here's the Post It notepads covered with patterned paper by Martha Stewart. The flower image is by Crafter's Companion which is part of a set I recently got at Island Scrapbooking. I also tied a bow using a sheer white dotted ribbon.

Ohhhh, and check out all the goodies the girls shared with each other. We all went home with A LOT!

Meet the girls in our club plus Martha who did the installation of our officers.

Leatrice planned some fun games. One of them was from the game show "Minute to Win It." We had to tilt our heads back, place a cookie on our forehead, then get the cookie into our mouth without using our hands, just facial movements. We were just cracking up and "somehow" I managed to do it. YAY! :-)
Hope you all have a great Valentine's Day with your loved one.
Hugs,
Karen

Teddy with a Spring Bouquet

Hope you all had an exciting Super Bowl weekend. Our sons had their friends over for a little party and yummy grinds. Most of them were Packers fans so they were really "squeezing" when the Steelers closed the gap. Everyone was sitting at the edge of their seats. Then they let out a big sigh of relief when the time ran out. Whew, stress. LOL.

Recently, I've been "collecting" a bunch of stamps and admiring them. Well, actually I've been busy making some favors for our upcoming FCE club dinner. Shhhh, I can't post them yet.....still a secret.
Michele at Island Scrapbooking brought in some SUPER DUPER CUTE stamps and I have a pile of them staring at me on my craft desk. OK, it's time to get some action going here. This was a reeeeeally fun card to make.

Supplies:
Stamp by Penny Black (Teddy and Company)

Paper by DCWV - Ultimate Stack
Copics
Laser cut leaves from Island Scrapbooking (nice yah?)
